My sons (20,15) are starting to plan next summer's 4 Parks/1 day trip. In the past, we have stayed at POR Riverside in the Alligator Bayou section w/a 5th sleeper. This gave us 3 separate sleeping surfaces as my boys won't share a bed, nor do they want to sleep with me!
The 15 year old has grown at least 6 inches since last summer's trip, and doesn't show signs of stopping, and there is no way the wall bed (for lack of a bed descriptor) will work next year, so we are looking to stay at a deluxe with a daybed.
The price jump from a moderate to a deluxe is a HUGE one. Therefore, we want the most bang for our buck.
Here is our usual schedule:
Day 1: Drive down, check in, go for a swim, go out for dinner, shower, turn in on the early side.
Day 2: up and out to open the EMH park, visit all 4 in one day (crazy, and we love it!!!), close our last park. Return to the resort. Collapse.
Day 3: Up and out for a good breakfast, open a waterpark, leave around 3:00ish, return to the resort, nap, shower, out for dinner, ask for late check-out (some years = yes, some years= no. We're good either way)
Day 4: Sleep in, out for breakfast. If we get late check out, a quick swim before showering and driving home.
We have liked POR Riverside because it's quiet, we like the pool area, the food court is decent, and with the option of walking to POR French Quarter or taking the boat to Disney Springs, we had many other breakfast/dinner options.
Which Deluxe would you recommend that would meet our needs: 3 separate sleeping surfaces, on the quieter side, good pool, plenty of food options nearby?
