We have been to DLRP a few times now and have always booked via Leisure direction, but I have some airmiles and wondered if it is worth booking using some of these to offset the cost? If the basic cost from airmiles is generally quite high then it probably isn't worth using our them for this.

Has anyone booked with their miles? or do you have any tips on how to get the cheapest package? We are hoping to go again sometime this year, though not sure when yet.

Thanks x

Hi, I can't answer your question about airmiles but the general consensus on here is to book direct with Disney. If you have a budget airline near to you, most people book hotel/tickets with Disney and flights separately. Or the same with Eurostar. I booked the whole package with Disney. If you book online you pay the whole amount up front (6.5% cashback with Quidco) and if you book by phone you pay 10% deposit. Hope that helps a bit.:)

I used Airmiles for my flights this time, £200 Tesco Vouchers gave me 3 adult and 1 child flight which would've cost me £600 + on Flybe website, so I was quite happy with that.
For DLRP hotels though it doens't work out so good, this is a post I made earlier this year on another forum.

This may help, have a look at this example from Airmiles, it came in an email last year, so it's 2007 airmiles prices.

http://www.airmiles.co.uk/content/ge...=dotw&REF=http

So 6,900 Airmiles for 3 nights at Santa Fe Hotel, Disney's cheapest onsite hotel. 2 adults and 2 kids over 7.

6,900 Airmiles if my calculations are right = £287.50 in Tesco vouchers or £1,150 ( if you're used to getting 4 x for your Tesco Deals )

To book the Santa Fe for 2008 same season same offers direct with Disneyland Paris, I've put an arrival day of Friday 7th November 2008 for 3 nights, 2 adults and 2 children over 7 and have been quoted £502.00.
If you arrive on Sunday through to Thursday it'd be cheaper.

I decided I'd be better off selling Tesco vouchers on Ebay and booking Direct with DLP.

Hope that helps:) sorry the airmiles link is out of date, it just contained a variety of Disney hotels and Airmiles prices.

I booked with coop travel the first time we went but they only beat Disney's quote by £30 this time. I found out the reason was that they deducted the insurance offered by Disney. I did it myself and the saving taking off the insurance was £52 for our family. I got cheap insurance online for £10.

Thanks everyone, I'll definately price up both of those options. We tend to drive (ferry or Le Shuttle) as we are in Sussex, so just a short hop across the Channel.

Thanks again x
