Best deal for last-minute additional night?

We are checking out of OKW on a Friday, but would be interested in staying another night -- particularly interested in Grand Floridian, Poly, WL or Savannah-view room at AKL. Any input on prospects of which might have a particularly good deal and should I try to make reservations now (for 10/18) or wait 'til nearer the time? I had heard that AKL was not booking as Disney had hoped, and thought perhaps we could get something particularly nice for not too much $........ Any thoughts, experience on this sort of situation?

I would strongly advise you to book TODAY because the current discounts expire at the end of today. You're not going to get a last-minute deal at WDW. Trust me.

Keep in mind that October is regular season, not value. There are several conventions and golf tournaments that take place, plus the Halloween activities, so like the other posters said, book now to ensure you get a room.

per CRO. I think we'll wing it, and check at the five day out period to see if there have been cancellations for those who have to cancel ressies at least five days in advance. I'm usually the queen of planners, but I think waiting 'til the later period will probably be okay. If not, we'll spend the day at the parks, then stop somewhere nice on the drive home.
