Best day to travel to Universal Studios California

We (Girl Scout Troop) are going to be staying in Oceanside. Looking at getting the Southern California City Pass. With the heavy traffic in LA, what day would be best for driving? I was thinking that Sunday might be better?

Forgot to say that we will be in Oceanside June 15-23.

I read somewhere on here that Sundays are the best days with the least traffic.

I agree. I think Sunday would be best. Saturday would be okay, too. You might get traffic coming home, though, which is doable.

Thank you for your reply. I will put Universal on Sunday. We are doing Southern California City Pass and wanted to go to Universal but did not want the traffic.
