....for WDW and/or USF? I have TP for WDW and have mapped out our days accordingly but need to try change some ADRs so wondering if I'm following the most accurate crowd predictions. We'll be there in May from 4th to 21st. Thanks!

TP like most crowd calendars is accurate is you stay offsite.

Staying onsite and choosing to do morning EMH, then hopping by midday totally offsets those calendars.

Sometimes, I prefer Josh's comments ( http://www.easywdw.com/ ) to the raw numbers provided by TP. Sometimes you need to second guess those crowd calendars depending on your own itinerary, and not second guess your itinerary because of the calendars)

but I use a combination of both.

I also use the Dibb http://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/parkhours.php?hours=05+2013
and undercover tourist http://www.undercovertourist.com/pl...s-calendar_may-2013.html#disney-opening-hours

mix all the ingredients together,
let it sit for a few days
bake inside a boiling brain for a few weeks
enjoy :)

As we tend to be the type who get on the first bus that comes along then take it from there I don't tend to read touring plans websites but I do love Josh's sense of humour on www.easywdw.com along with his food reviews.

Only one TS meal booked, Rose and Crown on Mother's Day at 7.40pm, daughter is paying :flower3:

As we have the QSDP I'm looking at eating at more of the resorts in the evenings along with DTD.

Another vote for Josh here, love reading his site. I also look at touring plans for a guide but find them a bit annoying because they keep emailing updates and changes to the calendar and once we have already chosen the parks and booked ADRs I have no desire to go back and change things!

I think for Universal the only site I have used is the dibb as mentioned above.

Another vote for the easywdw.com! This is what I used for our holiday back in September/October last year and all the parks were spot on with what he was saying as most, least recommended etc! So glad we used it :)

Happy planning!

well we used TP last September and found it totally rubbish for us!!! We found the parks very busy but others who were there at the same time found them empty! Hey ho..that'll teach me. We usually just wing it and jump on the first bus that comes along thats empty-ish and it works great. Must look up some of the other suggestions mentioned above though.:)

Thanks everyone!! Hmmm, deffo time to re-think our plans. I'll sit down with easywdw tomorrow and see what I can do. Never even thought of the Dibb!! Thanks :)

I have always used Touring Plans (ignoring the best day park where it relates to EMH as it is aimed at off site guests). Anyway. Have only ever been at peak periods, Christmas, Easter and August, and always found them to be absolutely spot on. If you follow their advice to arrive well before rope drop, I think they are a great guide.

People laughed at me when I told them I would be planning each park and you know, I am so glad I did! Each park we went to was so quiet. I think the longest wait we had the WHOLE 2 weeks was for Soarin' which was 30 minutes!! :thumbsup2

I again, would support the easywdw website, thats what I used! :surfweb:

Love how you sum this up - this is what my head always feels like when trying to put together a plan for touring. Last year we literally went to whichever park we felt like and, although, on a couple of occasions we paid the price for that with higher crowds and longer waits, for the most part it worked out fine for us. My nerves were somewhat shredded though :rotfl:

For our last two visits we have used TP and found them to be quite good. The problem is that they do change their crowd level predictions regularly, so we found that on occasions we had made dining reservations based on a park being a "light" day (4 or 5), but then it got upped to an 8 or 9!!!

However, generally we found that we spend relatively little time queuing for rides. Indeed, on the two days we visited MK last August, we were being issued with Fastpasses for most of the rides well into the evening, for a return within the hour. By using a combination of FPs, morning EMH and the lower crowd level parks, we only twice had to wait for more than 20 minutes for any ride.

Was just contemplating whether to have a look at the busy day guide as never been in april beforebut leave in 4 days:crowded::joker:oops!!!I have never done it before and always planned my days on my own.The only park I ave ever had a problem with for crowds has been AK and it always rains:lmao:
I am scared to look now incase they are all a 10:duck:
