MK- Cosmic Ray's/Pecos Bill's
Epcot- Electric Umbrella
DHS- Backlot Express
AK- Pizzafari

DTD: Earl of Sandwich and Wolfgang Pucks Express

Definitely Mara's at AKL, we always go there and then walk outside to see the animals on the Savanah

MK: Main street bakery, plaza ice cream, and Casey's Corner

Epcot: Future world -Sunshine Seasons; World showcase -Rose & Crown

DHS: Love Pizza Planet for the atmosphere!

AK: Flame Tree BBQ!

During our June trip, my DH and I were very disappointed at Columbia Harbour House and Flame Tree BBQ. Both of these are always on our "must do" list, but failed to live up to that high praise this time.
Columbia's fish was just awful, as close to frozen fish sticks as you can get. They used to be pretty good! The chicken was fine, but I was very disappointed due to the fish.
Flame Tree's BBQ was greasy and full of gristle. It could have just been the day we were there, but it was also disappointing.

Our favorites in the park:

MK: 1st Columbia Harbor House, 2nd Cosmic Ray's, 3rd Pirate and Parrot (taco stand)

EPCOT: 1st Bakery in France, 2nd Bakery in Norway, 3rd Sunshine seasons

DHS: Starring Rolls (not too many cs choice we like at DHS)

AK: 1st Flame Tree 2nd: Pizzafari (although we miss the chicken parm)

Resorts:

Captain Cooks at the Poly
BC Marketplace at BC
Hurricane Hannah's at BC

DTD: 1st Wolfgang Puck Express 2nd: Earl of Sandwich

I love the CS's in Japan, Morocco, and Norway in Epcot. Flame Tree at AK, Earl of Sandwich at DTD. MK and HS don't really have anything special, IMHO.

If on the dining plan, would definitely recommend Wolfgang Puck Express at DTD.

Earl of Sandwich is another good one at DTD.

At Epcot we have tried and liked the Electric Umbrella, Sunshine Seasons, Mexico CS, and Fish-n-Chips in UK area.

The Studios is tough ... we usually go to the ABC Commissary.

At AK, we liked Yak & Yeti CS.

MK, we like Columbia Harbour House and Pecos Bill.

We've not tried all the CS so there may be some others; however, from those we have visited the above are one's I could recommend.

Epcot: Electric Umbrella.

Hollywood Studios: ABC Commissary.

Animal Kingdom: Flame Tree Barbecue & Pizzafari.

Downtown Disney Marketplace: Earl of Sandwich.

Contemporary: Contempo Cafe.

Grand Floridian: Gasparilla's Grill & Games.

I decided to downgrade from the DxDDP to the free DDP for my upcoming trip, so am looking for some good counter service meals. After really looking at all of the ADR's I made, it would be just way too much food and too much time dining versus being in the parks. I did keep 9 table service restaurants, but they are all 1 TS credits.

I think you made a good choice to go with the regular DDP. Even the basic is too much food at times IMO!!

Here are my recommendations for the best CS meals:

MK- Pecos Bill's
Epcot-Sunshine Seasons (or Cantina de San Angel if you like Mexican)
DHS-Pizza Planet
AK- Yak and Yeti

This year we also took the boat from MK to WL one night and tried Roaring Fork for dinner and we loved it. Nice break from the park, pretty boat ride, and awesome food!!

DHS - Probably the Backlot express, but nothing really - I hate that, LOL
DTD - Wolfgang Puck Express - I love this place!

WGP Express in DTD is the best CS meal in all of WDW, IMHO.
