Best counter service restaurants??

I havent been to many... I really wanna try the ones in WS but my family doesnt:confused3

But my favorite that I've been to is Columbia Harbor House at MK followed by Captain Cooks at the Poly.

All the favs I agree with, but think DHS gets a bad wrap. Fairfax fare has pretty much the same chicken and rib platter as Cosmic Rays, Catalina Eddides has a terrifically awesome hot deli sandwich, and the Sandwiches and gormet tarts and cupcakes at Starring Rolls are beyond good.

Other favs Pirata, Capn Cooks, Sunshine seasons, Yak n Yeti, Tangeriene Cafe.

We found in Epcot on the last two days of our trip, this place in Epcot in WS that is just as you are coming in on the Canada side, it has fried shrimp, chicken sandwhiches, and some other very unique things that you can't find anywhere else. It was one of our favorites, we will back there.

got food poisoning 2 different times at disney over the years and both from counter service...
once from columbia harbor house...and it wasnt just me it was also another person in my party
and another from cosmic rays!
but i do enjoy sunshine seasons in the land, the fish and chips stand in uk, and flame tree bbq is VERY GOOD! also this isnt a counter service restaurant but it is "counter service" theres a place in animal kingdom that serves tea and coffee and it is a MUST!! i think its "Andapur tea company" across from yak and yetis!

Magic Kingdom - Cosmic Ray's and Pecos Bill's

Epcot - Sunshine Season's

Animal Kingdom - Flame Tree BBQ & Tamu Tamu (great shakes!!!)

Holywood Studios - This is tough...but Backlot Express and Starring Rolls will do.

My favorite in all of the parks is Tangierine Cafe at Morocco.

Others that we have enjoyed:

Columbia Harbor House at MK
Flame Tree BBQ at AK
Wolfgang Puck Express and Earl of Sandwich at DTD
Sunshine Seasons at Epcot (I don't think the food is great but the selection is)

Noticed you're off to Egypt - have an awesome time! One word....you don't really have to pay them more to get off the camel...just refuse, they'll let you off anyway! Oh, and if anyone asks, you're Canadian!

Pretty accurate, except I will say that the Chicken Curry Bowl at the ABC Comm is just about the single best CS item that I have had in all of WDW. The rest of the menu is abysmal, but that one dish alone would make me go back.

Wow..can I just say that the thought of stepping foot inside ABC Commissary makes me gag? Perhaps the curry bowl is awesome, I'll have to take your word for it...

Cosmic Ray's at MK
Starring Rolls at DHS

Ate at Yak N Yeti at AK but did not really care for it.

Love curry will have to try.

Our fave is just like others - Flame Tree BBQ - that's pretty much the only CS we do on a consistent basis.

MK try Cosmic Rays or the Columbia Harbor House
at Epcot try the Cantina in Mexico, Sunshine Seasons in the Land
for DAK, I like Flame Tree BBQ or perhaps Pizzafari
at DHS, go somewhere else, if you have to eat there try Studio Catering Co

the best maybe the Earl of Sandwich in DTD

My husband got food poisoning on our honeymoon from Backlot Express chicken fingers in DHS. Won't go back there! It's a story we still tell, though. We stayed at AKL and when he was puking all night at one point he said "Just throw me to the animals!" I almost did! You know how men are. Food poisoning sucks, but seriously! I went and got dinner at that point. :rotfl:

MK> Cosmic Rays and Pecos Bills
AK> Flame Tree BBQ
HS> no favs but do go to the Commissary
Epcot> 1. Tangerine Cafe 2. Sunshine Seasons 3. Electric Umbrella to watch the fountain while we eat lol

MK - love Columbia Harbor House
Epcot - any CS places in WS really
AK - Restaurantosaurus (sp?) - really good taco salad anyway, not sure about the rest of the menu. Flame Tree was closed when we were there last and I had really wanted to try it there!
DHS - Starring Rolls is good for a snack. I ordered a sandwich from Backlot Express and the bacon was still raw. Absolutely disgusting and I didn't notice until I had taken my first bite. I didn't feel much like complaining or getting another sandwich (had lost appetite), so I just tossed it and went back to the attractions. I have no idea what they would have done if I had complained, so I probably shouldn't be negative about them. But really, who doesn't know that the bacon you're putting on a sandwich is raw??? That's like basic cooking knowledge right there.
