This is my first adults only trip, and we want to maxamize our Counter Service Credits. What is the best place to eat for counter service in each park, in your opinion? Resorts close to the parks would be options for us as well. Ideas?

We just love Sunshine Seasons in Epcot. The CS food there is totally different, there is a wide variety and the desserts are great.

Pecos Bills in Fronteirland! The chicken wrap is the very best food on property. It's stuffed full of fresh lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, chicken and a creamy dressing.

We love the fish and chips at Harry Ramsden's Fish and Chips in Epcot's World Showcase!

Our Favorite CS's

MK
1. Casey's - Just a hot dog, need to save room
2. Pinocchio's Village Haus - One order of Figaro Fries to split
3. Time for dessert! Aloha Isle - Dole Whip Float to split
4. Time to leave the park already? - Main St Bakery for a Crispy Mickey treat and a sinful treat to split.
5. Main St Confectionery for some Fudge or Goofy's Candy to eat later on in the room.

Epcot
1. Tangeirine Cafe in Morocco - Schwarma Platter, Lamb and Chicken - good to share, especially if you're snacking your way around the world.
2. Beaches & Cream - Split a sandwich and then share a delicious ice cream concoction.
3. Sommerfest - Split a brat with kraut and then an apple strudel for dessert
4. American Pavillion (Liberty Inn) Chicken Sandwich with a Crispy treat. Otherwise if you've already eaten - just get the crispy treat here.
5. Funnel Cake Stand in America
6. Pretzel Stand in America
7. Cantina de San Angel - Be careful here if you have an aversion to refried beans. If you order an item without you'll be told to not worry - they are on the side. Check your order before you leave the counter, occasionally by "side" they mean "top side" and your food will be covered in beans. I learned the hard way. Other times since I've gone back I always check my order before leaving to make sure that the beans aren't touching anything I want to eat. Every time I order whatever without beans and every time I am told the same thing :goodvibes

DTD
1. Wolfgang Puck Express - No Dessert - see #3
2. Earl of Sandwich - No Dessert - see #3
3. Ghiradelli's - Dessert YUM

MGM/Studios
Backlot Express isn't terrible, but if I went to the Studios and didn't eat CS I wouldn't be sad.

Animal Kingdom
If you find something good here, please let me know. I am still looking and since I don't like BBQ that much I am not very sure about Flame Tree BBQ. I hate the pizza at MGM and since it's the same pizza here I am not much into trying it at Pizzafari. McDonald's is just McDonald's, we went in October and weren't too impressed. We may try Yak & Yeti when we go at the end of the month.

Curses! I have enough places that I have to eat in the MK. Now I need to try this too :rotfl:

It sounds wonderful! I am guessing that the chicken is a grilled chicken in the wrap? Is it warm or cold?

Yep, it's grilled chicken. I'm fairly sure it's chilled. The whole thing is a refreshing change from all those burgers.

DH and I like:

MK: Columbia Harbor House, Cosmics, El Pirata y El Perico, Pinnochio's
Epcot: Cantina de San Angel, Yakitori House
DHS: n/a
AK: Flame Tree BBQ

Epcot- Tangerine Cafe
AK: Flame Tree BBQ
MK: Pinnochio's
DS: n/a
Resorts: Mara (AKL)

If you can make it to DTD - Earl of Sandwich is outstanding.

For me:

MK: Columbia Harbor House
EPCOT: Tangerine Cafe
DTD: Earl of Sandwich

I avoid CS at AK and Studios-I'd rather eat at the resort CS

If you are looking for areas with less children try these. They at least tend to be less crowded.

These places tend to be more quiet (if the areas are open) All my opinions only. Your miliage may vary.

Columbia Harbor House. Upstairs
Pinocchio's-Upstairs
Pecos Bill's-if the Parrot and the Pirate is closed, eat back over there.
(Sit down restaurant - Tony's is the quietest I have found...sit outside if possible.)

Tangierene Cafe-lots of quiet cubbyholes.
Yorkshire Fish-a nice quiet place back behind the building.
(sit down - St Angel's Inn or Le Cellier for more quiet areas)

Beaches and Cream - eat out on the porch...inside can be loud.
ESPN club - very quiet during the day.

The Market on Sunset Blvd - many choices and you should be able to find a quiet area (watch for the smoking area near RnR)
Or just splurge a little and eat at 50's Prime Time! (not quiet at all but the foods good! for quiet, splurge more and go to the Brown Derby)

Flame Tree - go toward the lake until you find the tables right on it. Sometimes Mickey sails by!
Pizzafari - an aquired tastes Disney Pizza, but, if you like it (I do) then go way way in the back. There is a screen porch!
Yak and Yeti counter service was quite good at Christmas. We'll try again this spring. Needs more umbrellas.
Tusker House - quiet area outside. Listen for the crying baby!

Definitely CHH in MK. It's our absolute favorite for CS. We will be there several times next week, as a matter of fact!
