Best Corn Chowder EVER!!!!

We recently returned froma trip to the world and while I haven't had time to write a trip or dining report....I did want to post about the WONDERFUL meal we had at San Angel. EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING we ordered that day was outstanding for lunch!! But the best, was the corn chowder appetizer w/ cheese.

The corn was fresh, not canned, and it was so smooth and creamy. I would LOVE to have the recipe. Does anyone know where I can look or should post to possibly get it??? I tried Googling it and nothing came back. I have never been a fan of corn chowder as I don't like the taste of canned corn...but this soup was OUTSTANDING! DH likes all types of corn chowder but said he could have eaten 4 bowls of this! Please, if anyone has any ideas on how we might be able to duplicate this recipe, let me know!!

I can't help with the recipe but did want to second your enthusiasm for this dish. It was my favorite part of my San Angel meal too.

OMG....I forgot how much I loved the corn chowder soup here. It is the best soup I have ever had. I did ask the waiter what kind of cheese they used and he said it was a special cheese from Mexico, manchego (?) I think...yummmmmy.

I wish I had the recipe too!!!! Another item that I reallly, really, love is this years F&W festival's Lasagne from Italy. It is the best lasagne ever, I would love this recipe, but I probably couldn't make either as good as the Epcot chefs do

I am so bummed no one has been able to offer me the recipe for this. Next trip we're eating in Mexico 2x!!! And I'm going to ask while I'm there. But when will that be???

Please, any CM's or people who travel to Disney a lot... can you please make inquiry regarding this soup???? It is WONDERFUL!!!
