Ok, we are headed to the World, my two sons and I, in celebration of the end of a divorce, so what better way to celebrate right? Anyways, being a true chocoholic, where can I find the best and richest chocolate desserts? I know Ghirardellis is excellent, but as far as restaurants, such as California Grill or Le Cellier? Do either have any chocolate desserts to die for?

Would you believe the Kona Cafe at the Poly? They had a chocolate display last May that was unbelievable! Very good desserts and you can have their Kona coffee with it.

You may want to check Deb Wills menu site. The only WDW restaurant I know for sure specializes in chocolate is the Kona Cafe. Enjoy!

2nd that Kona Cafe : We love going there just for a light dinner and a BIG desert. We all order something different and share.

I can't answer your question! But this is one delicious thread!! I think I will write down all the replies you get for me when I go to WDW again!!! Sounds YUMMY!!!

I think another delicious one is the new chocolate pyramid dessert at the CG. It has hazelnut flavoring and is sooo rich!:D

The #1 chocolate dessert in WDW is found at Kona Cafe in the Polynesian and it is called the Kiluea Torte. It is a warm chocolate cake with an oozing chocolate center. It is SOOOOOOOO yummy. An honorable mention must go to the brownies that are sold at Gasparilla Grill and Games at the Grand Floridian. These are two chocolate "musts" on every one of our trips. Have a great time!!!!!!!!!!

DH loved the choc. souffle cake at Flying Fish and there was an incredible chocolate dessert at Jiko.

The lava cake at Flying Fish!~ Try it!

The "chocolate wave" from the Coral Reef Restaurant in EPCOT gets my vote. Even if you are not a seafood fan you can still go for dessert and check out the Living Seas.

I'm not a big chocolate person but I think my DH had the most chocolatiast thing on the menue everywhere we ate. I think his favorite was the brownie desert (I can't remember the name of it) at Planet Hollywood. He liked it so much we went back twice for it.

I would say ANYTHING dessert at Beaches & Cream...from the simple hot fudge sundae to the Brownie ala Mode.

Blissful simplicity....:teeth:

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YC RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why oh Why did I open this thread...........YUM!

One of my favorites that hasn't been mentioned are the chocolate creme puffs at Alfredo, just 25 more days til I can have my fav dessert!!;)

If you want a chocolate dessert that is exceptional without going to a restaurant, try the Fountainview Cafe at Future World/EPCOT. They have a Black Forest cake that is excellent and often have other rich chocolate specials. Try it, you won't be disappointed AND the coffee is excellent, too. I think that it is becoming my favorite over the Patisserie at "France" in the World Showcase which also has some excellent chocolate desserts.

I really enjoy getting dessert at the Fountain View and enjoying it while watching and listening to the fountain at the outside tables. I am sure we will be stopping there in December. :D

My vote goes to RainForrest Cafe for their Volcano! Choc. brownies, vanilla ice cream, hot fudge, all displayed to resemble a volcano. Simply wonderful.

I don't know if they still have it, but the Rose and Crown Pub in EPCOT used to have a Guinness chocolate mousse served in a dark chocolate shell of Spaceship Earth. I'm not the biggest Guinness fan, but it was very interesting.
