I'm new here (obviously):sad2: but I am desperately needing the help of someone more experienced. We are planning to go to WDW Jan28-Feb3 (no chance of changing dates) and I am trying to find the best deal out there. I checked AAA (maybe a moron) but they were no help. We want to do 6 day tix park hopper in a value and possible DDP. Can anybody give me in insider tips? Please!!! We are taking out 4yo for the first time and I really want this to be smooth but I can't afford it breaking the bank :guilty: TIA for any advice or tips.

Unfortunately, you may be too late for a value resort. You probably can find something off Disney property, but it won't feel the same as staying on the property. Call CRO and see what they have to offer.

Are you flying? or driving ? Try the website mousesavers.com it is a great start!

Flying is already taken care of, no intentions to rent a car. Budget hmmm...I have been quoted at around $1800 and if I can go below that, that's good for me! I think mousesavers.com said it needed 30 days to book a vacation.

If you don't rent a car, then you need somewhere that has good shuttles, as you will be relying on them. From my research you can take a roundtrip towncar to your hotel and back to the airport for around $109.

Have you tried searching on Expedia for hotels near by and seeing what you can afford?

Just to get a better idea of how to help you (I'm always looking things up on the net :surfweb: ), what did AAA do that wasn't helpful?

Did they not have rooms available, or did you get a rep who wasn't Disney savvy?

If the first, I'd definately call the Disney resort line directly and see what they have available.

If the rep just wasn't familiar with Disney plans, call the travel line again! Try to get a new rep who can help you. I'd suggest trying to get the information/rates before passing them your name/info because otherwise they store you in their computers and don't work as hard to research a rate. Also, from what I can tell from these forums, some AAA reps automatically add on travel insurance, be sure your quoted price doesn't have that unless you want it.

I'm happy with AAA's prices, but I didn't have to deal with AAA reps. With my AAA discount we booked room-only directly from Disney and got our Pop Century room for $65/night ($72/per with tax). Tickets were cheap (6 day base ticket for price of 4) from Mousesaver's link at Undercovertourist. I'm happy with our prices, although I almost wish we'd gotten a better deal on a package so we could do the DDP.

Well from what I have checked out that when we'll be going, it's cheaper to stay onsite at a value resort than offsite so that's a no-brainer for me so no need for shuttle. I've been trying to get a recommendation for someone at AAA that is a specialist with Disney but so far no one is sharing names or numbers :confused3 Calling Disney itself today I got a quote of $1840 for a 6 days tix w/ hopper, 6 nights preferred room in Pop with DDP (2 adults, 1 child-4yo). I would really like to add on the water parks but I am tired of adding on $. I need this price lowered some to add that on :wizard: Pm'ed the last poster for more info on how you booked since we'll be there the week after you.

I got offered 6/7 days at Saratoga Springs through the main Disney reservations. that was around 2200 with dining. our dates are close to yours 1/31-2/6......
That was not with water parks, as we are wimps and don't want water parks in Jan/February :)
if you need a car I found a minivan for the week for only $200 Budget use offer code BCD--found on mousesavers!!!
