best character meals at resorts?

We'll be down for a Sunday to Sunday stay, so we're probably limited to weekday character meals. To maximize time for rides (etc) in the parks we're thinking to do a character meal as a separate "excursion" on a non-park day.

Any advice on which of these is the best character meal?

Ohana's Best Friends Breakfast featuring Lilo and Stitch at Polynesian? It's a daily buffet, right? This is different than the Luao dinner, correct?

Garden Grove at Swan? Has daily dinners and weekend breakfasts, correct?

Flying Fish Cafe at Boardwalk? It appears this has a character dinner, but the website doesn't say which characters. Is it daily?

Chef Mickey's Buffet at Contemporary? Daily breakfast and lunch, correct?

Cape May Cafe at Beach Club? Only the breakfast has characters, correct?

Thanks!

I think you may be missinformed. Check out All Ears. http://allears.net/din/cb.htm

Deb's listing is a little more detailed.

The listing for the Flying Fish on the Dis may be referring to "Dine with an Imagineer" dinners which are held there several times a year.

You also missed the meals at 1900 Park Fare in the Grand Floridian.

We love the Ohana Breakfast! Family style all you can eat so you won't miss charactrers going to and from the buffet line!

Garden Grove has characters at dinner every night & at breakfast on weekends. On Monday & Friday nights, the characters are Timon & Rafiki, other nights, Pluto & Goofy. (I'm not sure who appears on weekend mornings, though)

We just got back and ate at Ohana for breakfast. My 9 year old son loves Stitch. It was great to not have to get up every time you wanted something else to eat. And, you don't miss the characters coming around. They also do a dance around the restaurant that kids participate in. Our server was very attentive. We had an overall great experience here!

Cape May is probably our favorite character breakfast, with Ohana running a close second :goodvibes.

Ohana for breakfast was a hit with my girls and so was 1900 park fare for dinner. At Ohana they loves Lilo and Stitch while at 1900 PF they loved dancing with the Prince and seeing CInderella and her step family

Cape May Cafe is our favorite character meal on site by far, though as you mentioned, it is only a character meal at breakfast.

Our second choice is 1900 Park Fare. In the monring Pooh and Tigger visit along with Alice in Wonderland and the Mad Hatter. At dinner it's Cinderella, Prince Charming, the ugly step sisters etc. My kids have zero interest in princesses or Cinderella but they loved the atmosphere there and the food is fantastic.

I'm thinking a breakfast at Cape May (or Garden Grove) followed by wandering around the Boardwalk area might be a nice outing on a non-themepark day. You can walk freely around the lagoon/lake from Beach Club - to Boardwalk - to Swan - and around? Can you walk right up to Epcot back gate from there too?

Last time we just drove to Grand Floridian and did valet parking for Park Fare dinner. We've always stayed off site, and will be again this year.

2 of my favorites are Ohana....family style so no waiting at a buffet line, and they do a fun parade around the restaurant for the kids. Lilo, Stitch, Goofy, Pluto....

Chef Mickey's...yummy food, Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Donald.

We liked Cape May and Ohana for breakfast.

Chef Mickey's and 1900 PF have gone downhill a bit.

Yes... we did a split stay last month and after we checked out of BWI, we walked over and had breakfast at Cape May. We loved it! We walked around a bit more before walking back to BWI and checking out and heading over to the next resort.

The Epcot area is wonderful to eat at, and then stroll.

Cape May is one of the best resort Character breakfast. We have gone to Garden Grove for breakfast and dinner and only 2 characters (food was ok)...I would rather pick Cape May.
