On my next trip I'm taking a my 6 year old niece along with me. I would like to do 2 or 3 character meals with her and am wondering what ones would be best. I definitely want to do one princess meal. And one are 2 others without princesses.

We enjoy the Lilo and Stitch breakfast at Ohana. The breakfast is okay, but includes pineapple bread and fresh fruit, which is nice. It is also served family style at the table, which we much prefer to a buffet.

The overall ambience is far less frantic than Chef Mickey's. The characters lead the kids in a parade around the restaurant, which is cute. The character interaction is good, especially if you go a little later -- say around 10:30 a.m. or 11:00 a.m. In addition to Lilo and Stitch, Mickey and Minnie and a couple of others (Pluto) are usually in attendance.

For a Princess Meal, we like lunch at Cinderella's Royal Table. We haven't tried the other princess meals, however, so can't tell you which one is best.

what characters does she like?

We really enjoyed:

Chef Mickey in CR Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Pluto for breakfast good

Garden Grill in Epcot Farmer Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale, resturant rotates slowly, family style, lunch was very good, very laid back!

Crystal Palace in MK Pooh, Tigger, Eyeore, Piglet buffet lunch very good food!

Good luck and have fun!

Chef Mickey is pretty good. Crystal Palace was pretty good (like the atmosphere) for the Pooh characters. Is 1900 Park Fare still running the character meal with the fairy godmom, mary p., alice and etc..My 2 little girls loved that one. Good luck. I don't think you'll go wrong with either one of these.

We love the princess breakfast in Epcot. Last year Belle, Jasmine, Aurora, Snow White and Ariel were there. The food and interaction were both great and both my DD's said this was a great time. (We are going back this Wednesday!!! SHHHH! It's a secret, my DD's don't know we are going to DW yet!!!)

1900 Park Fare has Cindy and Prince Charming along with the wicked step mother and step-sisters. We are trying this for the first time next week, so if anyone is interested, I'll let you know how it is (we are going here one week from Sunday!)

We are also trying breakfast with Lilo and Stitch for the first time next week. It sounds like alot of fun.

Chef Mickey is great. It is a buffet and it can get kinda loud, but the kids really love the characters.

Crystal Palace is great because it is inside MK and the place itself is beautiful. The food was good for a buffet, but it did seem like we waited a long time to see all the characters.

Whatever you choose, character meals are great for the kids (and adults;) ). Make sure you get alot of pictures and don't forget your autograph book!

On our trip last June, my dd6 and I went to the princess breakfast in Epcot and met Belle, Mulan, Jasmine, Aurora and Snow White. We had a good time and the food was good too. Two days later, we went to the breakfast at 1900 Park Faire and met Mary Poppins, Alice in Wonderland, the Mad Hatter (he was sooo funny), Pooh and Tigger. My dd was beside herself - she enjoyed it so much she barely ate. The food I thought was really good here too!

For the princess one I would definitely do CRT (if you can get it). I eat lunch at CRT every year for my birthday.

As for non-princess ones, there are a few I would pick from:
*LTT dinner- the food is good and the character interaction is pretty good.
*CP lunch/dinner- I prefer lunch/dinner over breakfast. buffet
*CM breakfast

Our top 3 are

Cape May Breakfast we do this one on a non-park day around 10. Goffy & Chip & Dale with Minnie out front.

Crystal Palace Lunch nice break for the park. Pooh & friends

Princess Breakfast at Epcot. Mulan was awesome we had a nice relaxing princess experence, (oxymoron I know).food was good too.

Our family's favorite is the Breakfast at Ohanas. We love that it's served family style, my boys love the parade around the restaurant with the characters and you get to see Mickey! They also love Lilo and Stitch. Our family loves the pineapple bread! Yum.

Another plus, you can then jump on the monorail and head right over to MK. :wizard:
