We would like to celebrate my 4yr old daughter's birthday but can't decide where's the best place. Reading a lot of reviews I'm for Chef's Mickey or Liberty Tree Tavern... I 'm also picky about eating, but I also want it to be a very special dinner ,for her with characters singing happy birthday , etc.Would like to know birthday experiences at these two restaurants!

Is she a princess fan? If so do 1900 Park Fair for dinner, Cinderella is there and if you're on the dining plan it's only one TS credit. If you note her b-day on the ressie I've seen posted here they decorate the table in confetti and give her a complimentary Tiarra.

If Cindy isn't her thing then definitely Chef Mickeys, fun party atmosphere. Again, note her b-day on the ressie and they'll decorate with confetti and give you a cupcake or something special for it.
Have fun!

We just got back and did Chef Mickeys for DS5's birthday. They announced the birthdays during the little song thing they do with the napkins waving. I realized I forgot to tell our waiter it was DS's birthday and they had done all the songs for the evening but he still brought out a cupcake and and minnie sat beside DS while we all sang happy birthday. Then we realized that there was a placemat under the cupcake that all the characters had signed that said "Celebrating your special day" He really enjoyed it. He also raised his hand a few nights later at the Hoop Dee Do Review when they asked who was celebrating birthdays so they asked his name and where he was from and sang to him there too.

The characters will not sing happy birthday or anything. If they are in a costume with a head they are not allowed to talk under any circumstances. Only where you can see a real face (such as princesses) are they allowed to speak.

Is Cinderella basicallly the only character at 1900 Park Fair? My daughter is a great princess fan, but if there's gonna be just cinderella going around all the tables, the time for each table would be rather limited,I imagine.

There are other characters too. The regulars are prince charming, the two mice (Suzy and Perla) and the Fairy Godmother.

Chef Mickeys is a great character meal. Lots of characters and lots of fun. I think it is a great atomsphere for a birthday. Plus a good variety of character like Mickey,Minnie, Goofy etc...

We did a Crystal Palace lunch for my son's 3rd b-day......OMG, 8 yrs ago already! He really enjoyed all the Pooh characters coming over and giving him special attention. They also brough a cupcake out and gave him a signed Disney card from all the Pooh characters (which he still has!) Very nice!

Dinner w/ Cindy at the GF is magical. We took DD5 there last year along w/ DS4. What makes it special is the DD wore her Cinderella costume wig and all and Cindy just loved it, DS wore General Shang (who is Mulan's Prince Charming) and Cindy's prince charming was hanging with my son alot - saying that "us princes have to stick together" Cindy came to our table a few times, the mice are so so cute - I only wish that Fairy Godmother would circulate, but she stays in the lobby taking photos.

As a matter of fact, just about an hour ago I made my ADRs for June and 1900 is on the list.

Thanks . I already booked for Chef mickey's dinner but now I'm thinking of changing. Crystal palace, Chef mickey both bring cupcake with a candle do 1900 PF do it too?? and what about the food. I looked at the buffet fotos of CM and they weren't so inviting.... The atmosphere for my child is important but so is the food to me.
