I'm taking my 6-year old daughter on her first DW trip... and I've never been to a disney character breakfast myself. We're staying at The Swan which doesn't have this.

Any recommendations on a place for her to get all giddy with excitement? :)

The Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom with Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, and Eeyore is our favorite. :cool1:

My 5 year old sister and I love Ohana! If your daughter likes Lilo and Sitch, she will love it too.

Through the International Gateway at Epcot to Norway for a breakfast with the Princesses. Akershus. The best food with Princesses and free pictures. There is also Cape May at the Beach Club. It has Minnie and Goofy. Both of these are a short walk from the Swan/Dolphin.

Although Crystal Palace is good, you can see most of those characters at ANY of the 4 parks (except Piglet).
I vote for Park Fair at the Grand Floridian. The food is a lot better, and you get to see Mary Poppins, Mad Hatter, Alice, Tigger and Pooh.

I think it depends on who DD's favorite characters are. My DD4 loved Akershus in Epcot because they saw Ariel, Belle, Cinderella and Snow White. My DD6 also loved Akershus, but also loved Ohana because of Lilo & Stitch, Mickey and Pluto. Not only were they different characters, but because the princesses speak, it was a totally different experience.

Ariel commented on DD4's hair "I love your beautiful hair, you must have used a Dinglehopper on it!"

We haven't done Chef Mickey's yet at Comtemporary, but we have plans to do that this December. We hear it is awesome as well.

There is also Cape May at the Beach Club. It has Minnie and Goofy. Both of these are a short walk from the Swan/Dolphin.

This is my favorite character meal, the characters wear beach attire, it's very cute! The character interaction is great, we've always gotten lots of attention. I believe Donald Duck is there as well.

We like Crystal Palace (Winnie the Pooh and friends) and Tusker House (donald, pluto, goofy, daisy, mickey). So it depends on your DD and what character she wants to see. Lots of girls like princesses which you could to Cinderella or Akershus.

1) Cape May Cafe - Breakfast :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

2) Tusker House - Breakfast :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

These are 2 of my favorites! And for Tusker House (AK with Donald outside and Mickey, Goofy and Daisy inside) we get ADR's for as close to 8 am as we can. That way you can have a leisurely breakfast and then walk right onto the Safari as the park opens (as for the check when you sit down so you're not stuck waiting for it when you're ready to go).

We have a few that we really like one of which is Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club. This would be a very easy walk for you since you will be staying at the Swan. They have Minnie, Goofy, and Donald decked out in their beach attires. The food there is always hot and fresh and the character interaction is one of the best. This is a must do for us, we love it so much.

Other character meals that we really like are:
- Crystal Palace Breakfast (try to get an ADR for before the park opens :thumbsup2)
- Akershus Breakfast (again a must do for us and again try to get an ADR for before the park opens)
- O'hana Breakfast (Love love love Lilo here and the food is really good too)

Have a great trip :goodvibes

I vote for Park Faire at the Grand Floridian. The food is a lot better, and you get to see Mary Poppins, Mad Hatter, Alice, Tigger and Pooh.

Crystal palace is ridiculously noisy and crowded, and the characters spend about two seconds with you.
Here, you get a little "quality time" with the characters, and it's relatively inexpensive in Disney buffet terms.

I'll cast a vote for Cape May as well. It's the closest to your hotel plus you'll get to see the "Fab 5" (Minnie, Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Pluto).

Love Akershus Princess Breakfast. It's a bit pricey, at about $39 for adults, but you get a nice photo package included and the princess interaction is terrific.
We also love Goofy's Beach Blast Breakfast at BC is a great meal...one of our must do's when in that area.
We also like Donald's Breakfast at Tusker House in AK...nice meal.

If your dd loves Winnie the Pooh, then try for Crystal Palace...love that one and the characters are awesome.

We really like Cape May at the BC and O'hana at the Poly.

We do also enjoy CP but they only serve frozen gluten free waffles to DD where the other make them from a mix and are Mickey shaped. It is also nice to get a early am pic before park opening.

We really enjoyed Cape May Cafe. Love the beach theme and lots of character interaction. We saw Minnie, Goofy and Donald on our trip there.

My vote goes to Akershusand Tuskar House. It's in a Castle with princess' what more could a little girl want (or 40 year old girl want), food is great, service is great.
Tuskar house great atmosphere, great service, it doesn't feel crowded in there, and the food is awesome. They have the typical and not so typical food on the buffet like an African poridge, and a corned beef hash that is to die for. It's not that canned crap you buy in the super market either, you've just got to try it.

INMO, nothing beats Cinderella's Royal Table when it comes to a character breakfast, especially for a girl that age, period. Meeting the Cindy and the other princesses while dining in Cindy's castle is hard to top.

Did I miss people listing Chef Mickey at CR? Or is that not a very popular one?

I thought that Chef Mickey was the only way to see the Mickey for breakfast. You also get Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, and Donald. Cape May is a buffet as well but only has Donald, Minnie, and Goofy, iirc. Obviously, as the proud dad of two princesses in training, Akershus gets a high mark as well. The only reason it's not first is the food offerings as they do honor Norway in their menu (in other words, no Mickey shaped waffles but there is fish).

Those are the 3 I would suggest. You might want to double check on the characters, depending on which you want to see and the menu.

Someone else mentioned it, but your favorite characters can weigh in on the decision. My wife loves Pooh, so her fave is CP. DS8's fave is Tusker House with the main characters (mine too actually). DS4 loves them all.

So my top votes would be Tusker House and Cape May.
