I am finalizing my list of ADRs for our upcoming trip and I want to schedule some Character Breakfasts it will only be DH & myself. I am thinking Crystal Palace, Cape May and Akershus and would like others who have done the Character Breakfast without kids opinions about their expierence.

Do a lot of Adults go without having kids?

TIA

First, yes plenty of adults do character meals without kids. Enjoy!

Cape May seems to be the choice of adults I have caucused. I would go to Tusker House, Cape May or Akershus as Crystal Palace and Chef Mickeys are hard for me with kis in tow. My choice would be mostly related to location and what I wanted to do on the particular morning. On a strictly character basis, it woul be Tusker - why settle for less than the fab five?

We like Crystal Palace and Tusker House very much. We've been multiple times (no kids) and have never felt out of place. Have fun!!

We have also down Crystal Palace as adults, my mom and I, and had a wonderful time! Plus the food is JUST amazing!

On our last trip to Cape May, I think we were the only ones there that had kids!! And it is really quiet there. That may be the way to go.

We are a family of adults and our favorite character breakfast is Cape May. The atmosphere is much more relaxed and nowhere near as noisy as most character meal locations. I also think Cape May has the best breakfast buffet!

I have done them all without kids. My favorites are-

Crystal Palace- my husband loves the omelet station
Cape May- great fresh fruit and character interaction
Akershus- good food and characters
1900 Park Fare- husbands omelet station and good characters

DH and I loved Crystal palace when we went. It was nice to be able to get photos with the characters and we really enjoyed the food.

A nice bonus was getting into MK early and we got some lovely photos before the crowds arrived.

we do characters all the tims and we no longer have kids with us to us is part of the trip and my sister has not got over them taking characters out of Liberty tree yet:lmao: we like Tusker House with Donald but no Mickey there
O'Hana's has Lilo and Stitch for breakfast games other meals
Hollywood & Vine has Manny and friends and food it great there
Chef Mickeys "used" to be good and fun with all characters but we have had to go other places as food been bad last two years there IMO:sad1:
1900 Park Fare in GF is Princess and stepsisters
we like for a fun time Whispering Canyons in WL but is no characters but the kids ride stick pony's and the food good and is family style setup over time we have eaten each meal over there and all were good. I like CP but my sister don't but like to see Pooh and friends.:confused3 Royal Table has Cinderellas breakfast is hard to get into and has princess etc was fun once we got ADR
we would do even more if they had more available as we like the character meals:cheer2: we then go to Rain Forest or T Rex so go figure--just kids at heart

CM is a great breakfast and a great time :) i also hear that CP is a great breakfast.

My recommendation though for a more "peaceful" character breakfast would be 1900 PF. We went our last trip and it was near empty  we had the waiter (a really interesting fellow) almost all to ourselves and the food was amazing. They even have ice cream for breakfast :cloud9:

My pick would be Tusker House. The food is great and they have a few African type dishes.

If you want a more quieter time pick an ADR close to 10:30 am as that is when it finishes for breakfast.

Cape May and Garden Gill were very quiet. I have also found that Cinderella's Royal Table was very quiet too.

We don't have any kids but we have visited almost every character meal. We haven't done Ankershus yet but we're doing that this summer when we go.

We used to do character breakfasts without kids up until this year when the prices got so high. Our favorites are: Tusker House, Crystal Palace and Chef Mickey. We did not like the food at Cape May. Now, whenever we want to splurge for breakfast, we will go to Boma. The food there was much better.

We did our last two trips with no kids and found Ohana to be very peaceful, laid back, and a perfect atmosphere for adults. It was by far the quietest breakfast we had and there was no sense of being rushed. Plus, the food and juice is delicious and character interaction was above anything we had elsewhere!

I agree with this poster. This is our favorite character breakfast. Actually it is our favorite breakfast in all of WDW. We have read really good things about Cape May's character breakfast so we're trying that this year. But I will say we go to 'Ohana very trip for both character breakfast and dinner and we have always had a great time and wondeful food. Plus it's really nice having the food served family style, it gives your feet a nice break after all the walking! :lmao:
