Best characater meal and why??

Whats your favorite place and meal for a character meal in DL and why???

I have found each character meal to be unique from the others, so it depends on what you are looking for.

We love Goofy's Kitchen, large buffet selection, games & characters we've seen are: Goofy, Pluto, Minnie Mouse, Alice, Mad Hatter, Chip, Dale, Jasmine, Aladdin & Baloo

We did Lilo-n-Stitch for the first time last week. Smaller buffet, games & characters we've seen are: Lilo, Stitch, & then saw Minnie Mouse & Daisy Duck at the photo area. Only the 2 characters roaming around the tables, but they came & visited multilple times, & my kids (even my 19 & 22yr old) were had a blast with Stitch!!

We've done the Minnie & Friends, decent buffet (some food was cold), great character interaction of classic friends. We've seen: Minnie Mouse, Chip, Dale, Fairy Godmother, Hook, Pooh, Eeyore & Tigger.

We've done the Ariel's Princess Breakfast which is served family style. We've also done the lunch where you order off the menu. You see Ariel prior to seating, then 4 of the princesses are introduced one at a time & they come by your table. You only see them the one time. We've seen: Ariel, Snow White, Cinderella, Jasmine, Belle & Aurora

We have not done the Storytellers Brkfst, but have read its a small buffet or ordering off the menu & the characters tend to be the "animal" variety: Baloo, Chip, Dale, Rafiki, Koda & Kenai & such.

I love Ariel's because it is a formal dining area where you get real meals served by nice people while sort of a regal air to the place.

Goofy's Kitchen is buffet which means extra care for me and work. I like the relaxed and informalness of the place. A place to have fun and be a kid.

best food story tellers get the steak yum yum me an my dh still talk about it.

best interaction ariel's but food at lunch wasnt as good we will do breakfast next time

we also loved goffys for dinner plaza inn was good to but id chose story tellers over it.

Goofy's! Goofy's! Goofy's! For all the reasons stated by DizNee Luver and mechurchlady. But I prefer the breakfast food over the dinner food - still, no one can go hungry because there is so much to choose from. Great quality of food, great variety of food, and good characters.

I have done Storytellers a couple of times and it was okay. I thought the food was pretty good but not as good as Goofy's for breakfast, I thought, and I didn't like the characters at Storytellers as much except for Baloo and Chip and Dale - but Baloo and Chip and Dale are also over at Goofy's, so I can see them there. Storytellers is worth a try - the restaurant has a nice, calm, warm cozy atmosphere - but I like it better during the non-character hours and prefer Goofy's for the character meal because I like the buffet better!

We like them all. It is the best place to see the characters, get pictures and autographs. It beats waiting in long lines in the park. The food is pretty much the same except for AG. You don't see many characters at L&S and you see a lot at Minnie and Friends. Goofys kitchen is a good one to see several characters also.
We are doing all these again at the end of April as we are taking two of granddaughters for their fourth birthday. We are also trying the new one Celebration BBQ with the Toy Story characters. Getting excited.
I would say do at least one and if you can do more than do it. When we take our grandkids they love it however even dh and I do them when it is just us.

My second favorite is Storyteller's. But it's a completely different athmosphere there, you can't really compare it with Goofy's.

I've done Storytellers, Ariel's, Minnie's and Goofy's all for breakfast. I liked the interaction and buffet line better at Minnie's than Goofy's. Storytellers is great and the tag fairy nailed me on why (look left). However, the biggest hit for the grandkids was Ariel's for breakfast, so we will do that again if we go in Sept..the DGS has a crush on the princesses and the DGD loves it too.

We have done them all at DLR, but not Ariel's since they changed the format. Ariel's was my least favorite, but I have heard it has greatly improved. Each has it owns perks though.

We love Lilo and Stitch. Never too crowded, so you tend to get more time with the characters. The dining room is smaller, so if the kids go off to play games with the "camp counselor", you can see them from where you are sitting. And the most important thing.... Pineapple Coconut Scones. If you see any posts from me on Lilo and Stitch Breakfast, this is one thing I always bring up, because they are so yummy.

We have done the following character meals-
Lilo & Stitch, this was our first one in 06, it was so much fun!! The girls had a great time, the characters were awesome, the food rocked and they played a game with Stitch which they loved!!!!
Goofy's Kitchen, we will not this again, food was just OK (except that bacon YUM) and character interaction was severely lacking for our group.
Minnie & Friends, this is our second favorite. The food was GREAT, lots of selection so we all got to eat what we liked. Characters here ROCKED!!!! They played with everyone at our table, many times over, they just kept coming back and spending time with us. We saw so many characters there too!!
Ariel's Grotto, this is our family favorite. We have 2 girls who just love the Princesses so this is well worth it for us. The girls see the Princesses, we get amazing food too.

We have not done a Storytellers breakfast yet....maybe I'll just book one for us for our weekend in May. I remember doing one of the very first character meals waaaaay back in the day, they were so different from what they are now.
