I think I will go with waitlisting two other places with 2BR dedicated. Since it seems that VWL might not even be a possibility, I might try for BLT lake view, or AKV savannah. Do you have to specify the view as well with a waitlist?

Yes, you must specify the view.

For instance, I have next week booked at BWV pool and garden view. I waitlisted both standard and boardwalk view exactly at 7 months, it took up both of my waitlists. Neither one came through. And this was for the 1st week of May.....
