I have iPhone 5s and it worked well. I brought a travel charger in my bag just in case, but never needed it.

I wouldn't recommend choosing a phone based on MDE alone. It's buggy on all mobile platforms at the moment anyway.

Agreed. They are rolling out new versions/updates soon from what I have heard they will start with IOS and later this year will push out to other platforms. DH and I both had Galaxy S 3's on our last trip and for the most part it worked ok...was a bit slow but did it's job

The WiFi is spotty so it's not necessarily the phones that are the issue. Not too mention you have 4 packed parks with everyone trying to access the app at the same time too!

I got the tip on these boards... an external battery charger! What a lifesaver!
