We are looking for a good cc to start using charges on. We are looking for somthing that we can use the points/miles for vacations. We will be having our last Disneyland vacation for several years (5+) in Nov with my family. We are wanting to go big since it will be our last for a while. My family is doing lots of things like Carthay Circle, Grand Californian. And we are looking for a credit card that we would be able to redeem credit card points towards these types of things.

For what specifically were you looking to save on? Are you willing to apply for more than one CC? Are you also willing to pay an annual fee?

The sign-up bonus you will receive on the card you choose to open will have the most benefit to you. Since there are so many branded credit cards with different perks and fees, answering the above will help narrowing down the best cards for you.

We will be staying onsite, so maybe one with the greatest cash back? Or even something to help pay for our flights?

Join us over in the I Love Credit Card thread. But hotel and air points are generally different. To save cash at Grand Californian you could get the Barclay Arrival to erase some of the cost of the stay. Also ditto for Capital One venture. Get both cards and split the charge and you can get up to $1000 off. It will depend how you book this hotel.

Or if you're staying at a Hyatt or Hilton, etc there are co-brand cards. The airline card will depend where you are flying from. The best card for you would likely be the Chase Sapphire Preferred but it again depends on where you are flying out of/what airlines you have at your disposal/where you've 100% decided to stay, etc.
