Best cat litter & best litter box for fighting odors

I like Arm & Hammer Clump and Seal. I've tried almost every litter out there and this seems to work the best for my cats.

We use the Breeze system. We have one cat and keep the litter box in our bathroom. My husband bought this system in an effort to persuade me to get a cat. I have to say, it did eliminate all the issues I had with litter boxes. The pad at the bottom really does trap the urine smell, he changes it once a week on trash night. The litter itself is bigger pellets so there is no dust issue and it says in the box mostly (unless the dog goes litter box diving - which is no fault of the litter). We scoop pretty much right away (due to the previously mentioned dog) or as soon as we discover it. And since the litter doesn't really stick to what we're scooping out we can flush the cat waste down and there is no smell left behind.

I have no idea how expensive it is compared to other litter, but for someone who was very hesitant to get a cat because of the litter issue, this has made it a none issue.

If you really want to control odors, then Fresh Step Extreme with Febreeze will do it. Personally though, I find that it smells way to strong by itself, so I just stick with regular Fresh Step Extreme Multicat (even though I only have one cat). I do not like the lightweight as it is too dusty.

We have 3 cats and 4 litter boxes throughout the house. We use Clump & Seal Lightweight and make sure to scoop every day. One large uncovered box, 2 large domed Booda boxes, and one corner style covered box.

The other thing that really helps- we sprinkle baking soda on when we add litter, and we use those odor-destroying beads in canisters near every box.

Any experience with the Tidy Cat Breeze System? Great system or just an expensive gimmick?

We had it, and it didn't help with the smell, and one of my cats really did not like how it felt on her toes and hesitated to use it. I though it was a great idea, but sometimes it was really hard to find supplies for it too.

We use the PetSmart CatAttract litter, and we have three boxes for two cats. They are supposed to be sifted daily, but the kids miss that chore periodically and it will go an extra day. CatAttract solved issues of one of cats not wanting to use a box. She was an outdoor cat before we adopted her, so she didn't like litter versus digging in a yard.

We have multiple cats and boxes. The system that works best for us is Clevercat. It is a top entering box with a flat bottom to make scooping easier. We tried using a plastic tote and cutting a hole in the lid. The cats were fine with it but the indented ridge around the bottom of the box made scooping difficult.

We use Mimi cat litter from Walmart. It is not clay but crystals with no perfume odor. It is low tracking, lasts a long time, and is very inexpensive.

We have 3 cats and 3 boxes. We use ScoopAway Complete because it's cheap at Costco. We scoop once a day and our house does not smell like we have cats, at least that's what we've been told.

At present, I have one cat and two litter boxes. We have a Litter Breeze as well as a regular box. My cat pees in the Litter Breeze and poops in the scoopable! We use whatever scoopable is on sale, he really doesn't care. And the Breeze works awesome for him! I do put some baking soda under the pad in the drawer and that helps as well. I've found the best place to get the Breeze replacements is Wal-Mart. Cheaper than the pet stores.

Oh I have not seen this, I'm going to have to look into it...I have one cat that kicks the litter everywhere, and this might be perfect if he'll use it!

Ours love the hole in the lid. I guess there is something exciting about jumping into it? LOL! We have learned to place the hole to the back so they walk over the ridges of the lid as they leave. This has cut down on tracking of litter to almost zero! The crystal cat litter without the added fragrance works well too. Ours do not like the perfume smelling ones. With one cat you would only have to change the litter about once a month. We scoop tootsie rolls daily and areas of really wet crystal if needed.
