Best Car Rental WDW to Port Canaveral?

We will be staying at Saratoga Springs in October and need to rent a car one way only to Port Canaveral for the 4 night cruise. Does anyone know the easiest/least expensive option? We've heard you can request a shuttle from your resort to the Car Care Center and get a car from there. Thanks!

You can rent a car from National at either the car care center or the Dolphin, but the National office in Cocoa Beach doesn't have a free shuttle to the port, like some of the others do. It will cost you in between $11-13 to get a taxi to the port. I am not sure about the location of the Alamo office in Port Canaveral/cocoa Beach.

You may want to consider renting from Avis--they have a location in one of the hotels near downtown disney, and a shuttle at Port. There are other car places that have locations in DTD, I'm just not sure who.

Thanks for the info! Any other ideas from other DIS members about rental agencies that would shuttle from our resort to Port Canaveral and have a free shuttle to the ship?
