Best Candy/Sweets Shop?

Yes, I have the same problem with the See's peanut brittle! It is SO good and I don't even really like peanut brittle that much! After I heard PinkBudgie raving about the peanut brittle at DL I got her some See's so she could see what she was missing but I think her family prefers the DL peanut brittle. I tried the DL brittle and have to say that I still think the See's is way better.

I also never eat peanut brittle at all, anywhere...unless there is a box of See's around! (Which happens rarely, thankfully.) It is addictive, buttery yumminess. But I would like to try a hunk of the DLR kind, just to compare. But I may have to seek out that dipped Oreo that Ballarinamom spoke of first!

There are dipped Oreos sold in DLR somewhere? I must seek these out.

At Critter Corner in November. They are just dipped in chocolate not the 4 inch design your own filling, dipping, coating and drizzle like WDW. But still very yummy!

I love the dark chocolate honeycomb. Yummmy!

Pooh's Corner is probably my favorite too.

It was good to taste test! Yes, we like DL's better. Sees tasted more buttery to us. It does taste completely different. I guess it depends on your preference. I don't normally get excited over peanut brittle either, but DH bought some there so I tried it. Then I had to have just a little more and a little more. To me it tastes more "homemade".

The odd thing is, we saw a "family size" bag in the candy store on Main Street. It actually cost a little more per ounce than just buying two of the reg. size packs (Market House has sells a lot and also other types of brittle). DH, being a math teacher, worked that out for us. :goodvibes

Ooooh...you are missing out! I could go a whole year and never eat a piece of chocolate or a chocolate bar, and I could go even longer without peanut brittle, but if someone puts out a See's box of candy or peanut brittle, that stuff is addictive! They do mail order, I think.

yeah, I just always have to wait until I get to disneyland. this year Im bringing candy home!! I saw see's in the air port once and got a box for my mom, but I have never tried it.

Yep, it is good. :thumbsup2 When you walk in to the store they give you a free sample. :) One of my favorites is their sucker. I don't know how to describe them, but they are good. Oops, got a little off topic with Sees. :) I don't know if they have one anywhere near DLR.

Next time I am at DLR, I am definitely going to try one of the dipped Oreos that Ballarinamom mentioned. I have yet to sample the peppermint fudge (I wish they gave a little sample of that just so you could see if you liked it) but that may be on the agenda in December.

I bought peanut brittle on Saturday at DL and it was gone on Sunday. Do you think if I saw the candy makers in the window doing peanut brittle they would make me some brittle without the peanuts? I'm gonna try next time I see them. mmmmmmmm....

Yes, there are three I can think of:

  1. At the corner of Lemon and Orangethorpe in Fullerton, very near the Disney Character Warehouse
  2. On Chapman just west of Brookhurst in Garden Grove
  3. In MainPlace mall in Santa Ana
