We'll have our own transportation and don't care to be near the bus stops. What's the best loop or area to request to be deeper in the woods and away from a lot of activity.
I agree with 2goofycampers. Let them know when you make reservations. We have stayed near the back of 2700 and 2500 and both were very quiet. Really not much noise in the Fort in general from our experience but the buses running early and late can make some noise up front. Have a great stay!
We find the Fort to be one of the quietest campgrounds no matter which loop. (Depending on neighbors sometimes ) You can get away from the traffic by specifically asking to not be placed adjacent to a roadway. The sound of the boat horns carries too, but I love hearing them.
Which type of site do you want, do you have pets? That would be helpful in suggesting loops.

Ooops, sorry, if I had read the title of your thread I would know that!
But, we have stayed in cabins too. You will hear very little from inside, and most are in wooded areas. As advised above, make your request known on your reservation.

We have never stayed in a cabin, as we have a fifth wheel. In Feb had site #702, which is 50' from the main road. The road noise not a factor. The boat horn & water electric parade could be heard. This is part of the "Majic".
