best BWV preferred view?

When requesting, would boardwalk view be enough? Or is there specific rooms that would be better? This will be our FIRST FAMILY visit and we really want it to be special. I have been calling everyday to switch our room reservations to BWV (1 more day to go for our 8 day stay). Do the 2 bedrooms preferred all have good views? I read so much that the boardwalk view can be an awesome location. THanks for the input.

All boardwalk views are good, so just request it. That will not assure that you will get that view as less than 20% of the rooms have a BW view. Nevertheless, requesting BW view gives you a better chance of getting such a view than a more specific request such as requesting particular room numbers. Also, all the 2BR's on the boardwalk are clustered above the Big River Grill and the DVC Sales Office and all of those offer excellent views of the lake, Spaceship Earth and the Illuminations fireworks.

The BW view is the best of the preferreds. However, the other preferreds are also good with the following exceptions: (a) there are certain rooms ( a small number) with a Luna Park (main pool area) view that are actually looking straight out to the Leaping Horse Libations (the large carousel shaped pool bar) and thus you see mainly that structure; (b) many of the first floor units in the Luna Park area look out at foliage or other view obstructions

I will keep my fingers crossed!!! I'm hoping for a good view, otherwise I would put myself on a waitlist for a standard view...but we thought. hey, enjoy the pts and our first visit to WDW.
