I recall last year reading on this Board that people were raving about 2 restaurants - one for the best steaks and the other best burgers/milkshakes. My kids really wanted to go and we just never made it. I promised them this time and I cannot find it in my notes from last year. This was a hands-down agreement from so many people. Does anyone recall the name(s)?

Thank you,

PDG:)

Yes, Thank you, that was the name!!!!!!!!!

Have you ever been there? Are they as good as everyone says they are?

Thank you again crazelion,

PDG

Yes, good and CHEAP.

If yo do a search under my name, there's a pretty good thread on SteaknShake.

herc.

Yes I would also agree I think Steak and Shake has the best burgers and shakes. They are very good.

Planet Hollywood also has very good shakes.:bounce: :smooth:

I loved Steak and Shake. I love there burger and fries. The shake is out this world. Everytime I go there I make a pigout myself.

Plus it cheap to.

I bless to have one where I live at to. I have go there every Friday night.

Another Steak n' Shake fan here!:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Not sure about the burgers, but the best milkshakes are at 50's Prime Time Cafe. I am somewhat of a milkshake conesuer (don't have my dictionary handy, sure I balled up the spelling on that one), and I can honestly say, the PB&J shake is one of the best I've had.

I ate at Steak N Shake once and I never really cared for it. Maybe I need to go again for a milkshake! :)

Thanks for the website addy....Ive bookmarked it for our next trip! There are 7 orlando locations listed...does anyone have a favorite?

We always go to the one on Apopka-Vineland Rd as it's just a 2 minute walk from Cypress Pointe Resort where we stay and only a 2 minute drive to Hotel Blvd and WDW!:)

I ate at Steak N Shake today (inspired by this thread :) ). I had a strawberry milkshake and a double burger. The milkshake was very thick! The burger wasn't the greatest. It tasted like a Wendy's burger. Still, for what you got, it wasn't bad.

I think there's a Cheeburger Cheeburger in Orlando. I ate a pretty good burger there. A few years ago, they had a contest that if you ate their 1 lb. burger, then you would get your photo on the wall!

Also, Mythos and Confsico's at IOA have some good burgers.

Barry,

What is a 'cheeburger cheeburger' ? Eating a 1 1b. burger doesn't sound to difficulty for those 'manly men' types. It is that difficult? Getting back on track here - it sounds like a "Fudruckers"- type burger place or a Jackson's Hole kind of place. Where is it located? I agree with you about Confisco's - we eat there every visit - love those coconut onion rings. We like to go off site for a change from city walk and "steak and shake" had such a strong following. Please let me know more about this cheeburger place.

Thank you everyone for your opinions!!!!!!

Steak-N-Shake had been a regular stop on our travels, especially in Orlando. Fortunately, they finally expanded to Pittsburgh. The burgers are pretty good. The milkshakes are simply awesome. :smooth:
