Hello all!

I was wondering if I could get some advice on which building to request for our stay at POFQ in September?

Thanks!

We were just there in July and requested building 5 and got it. We were in 5234....second floor, courtyard view with a bit of the river in the background. Don't pay for water view as it's not really worth it. We were on the opposite side of the pool but one quick trip down the stairs and we walked right into the pool complex. Also, it was very close to food court and buses. We absolutely loved it.

Hope that helps.

The resort is so compact there are no long walks for anything. From the very furthest point to the very furtheset opposite point is not better than a 7-10 minute walk. All the action happens in the middle of the resort (food court, pool, buses), it's no more than a 3 minute walk (5 at best) from anywhere.

We stayed in bldg 6, first floor, waterview and loved it. We came out of room and there was the river.

the only real suggestion i would give you is if you are a non-smoker stay away from bldg 2 and the 3rd floor of bldg 6. Those are the old smoking rooms and supposedly people are saying the real have odor problems. We will probably request the same area again next year...we loved it.

I have stayed in building 7 now and loved it. It was quiet, close to POR, and convenient to the parking lot.

Building 5 for us. I think we had 5304 or something like that -- facing the pool near the hottub. Would have preferred first floor (strollers) but adjoining rooms were more important.

I requested Building 1 this time. It will just be my mom and I so we decided to go with one that's not overlooking the potentially noisy pool or too close to the hustle and bustle of the food court.

If you want something that is close to the main building (lobby, store, food court), buses to the parks, and Sassagoula River, pick Building 2. We request it everytime and always get our favorite corner room (king bed). There are a lot of rooms right by the river in this building and it is about 1-2 minutes to the main building and busing.

As everyone has said POFQ is a great size & all the buildings are good. We stayed in#1-All the books said it was the worst. But we had are own car & it was close to the Parking lot. But we had a courtyard view quick walk to anything.

Just got back from POFQ. Stayed in building 4. This worked great because we were close to parking and we used our own transportation most of the time. The bus stop was real close too as were the food court & pool.

We had a King size bed. The room was small but the bathroom was bigger than expected, no tub just a great big shower stall which was great for us.

We returned from POFQ last week and stayed in Bldg 2- Room 2236.
Didn't smell any smoke at all. Also, although we were facing the pool area, it wasn't noisy.
As others have noted, it's only a 2-minute walk to the food court, down the stairs and across the narrow street to the pool, and another 2-minute walk to the boats on the river.
I had originally requested Bldgs. 4 or 5, but I'm glad we were in 2. It seemed to be the perfect location.

We were in bldg. 5 and loved it! We were on the third floor with a lovely view of a courtyard and in a corner room.

We were in 4 and it was a great location. We were close to the bus stop and main buildings. It was quiet too. I don't think you can go wrong with any building because the resort is comparatively small to the other disney resorts.

I wish I was going back!

I don't think that you could get a bad location. We stayed in Building 6 last year and it was fine. It was just far enough away from the main building and the pool to be quiet and it was just a hop, skip, and a jump to the pool and the food court. POFQ is a great resort!

We have stayed at POFQ 3 times in the last year and we LOVE it. We have stayed in building 2 (no smoke smells), building 5 and building 7. It is a small resort, so there really is not a bad place to stay. We like being in the middle of everything so we always request a room overlooking the pool. Noise around the pool has never been a problem for us. We will probably try a new resort next time we go just to try something new. I hope we love the next resort just as much as POFQ!
