Hi Gang!

We will be visiting HH next summer for our first trip there. We are booking into a 2 bedroom unit and are curious as to everyone’s suggestion on a building request. We would like to be close to a pool for the kids and maybe have a view of water. We are open to anything though so pass your suggestions this way please :)

All buildings at the HH resort are a short distance from the pool. There are three general views available- pool, marsh and island.

The island views are typically interior views and are mostly wooded with a glimpse of other buildings. There are a few buildings that overlook the pool and the rest are marsh views which look out towards the Broad Creek marsh where you can see lots of shore birds, dolphin, otters and even manatee.

Here is a <a href="http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=226883">HH Resort report</a> that may help with your request.

Enjoy!

On a map, the resort may look spread out, but it isn't. It is a short walk to the pool from everywhere.

next to pool and by the hall great location. this is on the right side of the pool just out side of the gate. grat location.

We were upgraded to a 2br in building 14 and it was beautiful. Uninterrupted view of the marsh from the balcony and view of the marina from the front door.

As has already been said, the resort is not that big, so nothing is too far from anything. ;) Also, the resort is beautiful, and IMHO, there are no "bad" locations. Yeah, I have my preferences, but if I don't get them, it's not that big of a deal.

While being by the pool is nice for some people, that makes you far away from Big Murgie's Den (activities, pool table, shuttle to beach house, cookies in the afternoon, etc.)...

Once you get there you'll know why a lot of us say the building really doesn't matter all that much!!

Thanks for posting this! We are going to HH for the first time next week and looking at the map I thought the resort looked VERY spread out and was worried about older family members getting around.

Last trip our building was fairly close to the pool (21) and we have also stayed in 19..... Both times I wished our room was farther away becasue the grounds are so lovely and peaceful.

The resort is nicely laided out.

The map of the resort and the pictures are VERY deceiving. Before we went I thought that the resort was spread out as well. However, when we got there we found it to be very cozy and a comfortable walk from one end to the other. It is very laid back and relaxing.

We were in building 23 and the balcony overlooked the pool. At first we thought that it might be too noisy there, but it wasn't at all. And at night we could sit on the balcony and it was very quiet. The pool closes at 8:00 or 9:00, in April.

Have fun and enjoy this resort! The beach house is wonderful too!
