Best building at Pop

I was wondering what the best building to stay is. When we went to All Star Music last August we stayed in the County Flair, it was the very last building, it was nice cause it was quiet, but it was such a long hall after being at the parks all day, plus we bought the mugs and didn't get much use of of them cause it was such a hall so this time I am paying for a perferred room at pop and want to know what is the best location, closes to dining areas.
I mean best.

We had a preferred room in the 70s buidings and loved it. 3rd floor overlooking the fooseball players. Close to everything and quiet at night.

I would agree with PP, sounds like they were above us. LOL

We have stayed at POP twice, both preferred. Once in the 60's building, ground floor across from the kiddie pool and it was good, not great. In the day it could get a bit nosey, but at night it was fine.
A very quick walk to main building for food/pop and buses.

This time we stayed in the 70's, ground floor about 5 rooms from the corner of the building next to classic hall. It was very quiet, wooded area and I loved the music. (more of my style...:rotfl2:)
We actually though this was closer than the other room because we didn't have to walk around the pool. There was also a short cut thru the sidewalk/parking lot to the last 2 bus stops. So we didn't have to walk up to the hall and then back to the buses.

I say go preferred and then pick the gendre decade you like best. It adds so much to your stay. Many times we propped open our door so we could hear the music playing!

Any building close to the main one is fine if you don't walk too far when you come back at night. we've stayed there the last 3 years and didn't have any room problems. The room I liked the best was this year's - in the 50's area, we overlooked the pond and could see the fireworks at night from Epcot and MK. Our room number was 2452 - bldg 2 - 4th floor. We loved it!:thumbsup2

OMG Yes! The 70s music was a hoot! By the end of our stay my teens were even groovin'! :hippie:

We stayed in the 60's, building #5, second floor, facing the lake. PERFECT location. Close to everything and very quiet.

We have stayed there a few times in both the 50's and in the 90's and really the walking distance isn't that far from any of the rooms.

"Preferred" at Pop means your room will be within 500 feet of Classic Hall.

I have stayed at POP multiple times, in different areas. I did book a preferred room just to see if I liked it one time. I didn't. I hated the foot traffic going by all the time. Of course, being on the ground floor didn't help. That was in bldg 10.
My favorite bldg is 4, in 60's. I had a great room facing the lake, on the 4th floor. It was only about 4 mins to the food court. So quiet and peaceful.
I have also been in the Rubicks Cube bldg..ground floor, facing the parking lot/lake. I didn't think I would like it, but it was actually very pleasant, and the walk to the buses/food court wasn't bad at all.
Also stayed in 50's...bldgs 1 and 2. In bldg 2, I was about as far away from the bus stop and food court as you can humanly be and still be on Pop property...it wasn't a bad walk to the food court there either. Maybe about 6 mins. The resort looks huge, but it is very well laid out. No bldg is really all that far from the main areas.
