Best Buffet

What is your take on the best buffet? We are getting burned out on chef Mickey and the Chrystal palace. Lets include hotels in this as well. We are going back for New Years and looking for something different. Thanks

I love them both but decided to try something different this year as well.

We are going to try Hollywood & Vine - Character Breakfast Buffet at MGM and Donald's Breakfastosaurus. They are character meals.

My absolute favorite buffet is BOMA on Wednesday and Saturday nights. I am a very adventurous eater and their menu fits the bill! The coconut curry chicken soup is to die for and the ribs are so tender and yummy. Man, how am I ever gonna wait until May 2007 to go back....

is the menu different on different nights at boma? We have eathen there several times and it always seemed like the same food. Id they are different what are the differnt nights? is there somewhere to look at the menu of different nights?

I am going with Cape May for breakfast and 1900 Park Fare for breakfast or dinner (this one is my absoute fav i think!)

Without a doubt from our family... Boma. When I can find a place that has food that is so diverse, and yet can still please my wife, myself, my teenage daughter and 10 year old boy/girl twins.... it HAS to be a winner!

We have tried the following buffets:
- Boma (dinner)
- Chef Mickey's (dinner)
- Crystal Palace (breakfast)
- Cape May Cafe Clambake

They were all very good, but as far as return visits, we'd probably choose the Cape May Cafe clambake and the Crystal Palace.

We love 1900 Park Fare for breakfast and dinner. Very good buffet.

Boma is my favorite place of all time - we never miss dining there for dinner on every trip.

Well Chef Mickey's, Crystal Palace, Hollywood and Vine, and 1900 Park Faire are all fairly similar. We enjoyed them all. H and V was probably last ranked of that group.

Boma is a bit different. We thought it was very good.
Biergarten is German. We thought that one good also.

We really enjoyed Boma because the large variety of dishes and the flavors are so different than the other buffets!

If you do decide on Boma, go early to take a look outside at savannah! Very cool! We plan to stay at AKL on our next trip!

Yep, hands down, Boma is a winner with my dd and me. And for me, I had the absolutely best drink I've ever had there. The Mt. Killamarita. Yum Yum. Can't wait to go back!

What is different about Wednesday and Saturday nights? (I'm making ADRs for January right now)

I think that good ole cooking and for teh price the buffet at ft. wilderness was pretty good, the ribs were yummy as was the fried chicken.....may not be what you are looking for a special meal but for en everyday meal its really worth it and its only like $18 per adult for dinner!!

I have never been to 1900 or cape may, what is so good about those two?

We ate at 3 dinner buffets last week (11 people so buffets were the best way to please everyone). They were pretty similar, but I would rank them:

- Crystal Palace
- 1900 Park Fare
- Hollywood & Vine

Hollywood & Vine was the plainest looking room. The food was OK, but no characters and nothing special to recommend it. I did eat there with the Fantasmic package, so that is a plus for H&V if you go during a busy time of year. I have not eaten at BOMA - my group is too picky to be satisfied there.

My absolute favorite place is 'Ohana but they serve family style not buffet. We were also burned out on Crystal Palace so we decided to try Cape May and we loved it. On our last trip we tried Boma (based on all the recommendations for it) and we did NOT like it at all. Could hardly find anything that we wanted to eat - couldn't tell what anything was, it was some strange food!!!
