Does anyone have suggestions for the best budgeting software or website? I have heard of Quicken, Microsoft Money, Mint.com, etc. I want to start using something, but I want it to be easy and of course, inexpensive! I am really not sure how to get started.

Send along your thoughts!! Thanks!

Mint is good and free. You can link your CC and bank account to Mint.

Actually, I just use my own computer and enter my own data using Excel (not keen on linking my accounts all over the net, personally). You can download free excel templates for family budgeting and accounting if your have Microsoft Office at their website. http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/templates/default.aspx

Search family budget, budget, planner, etc. Hundreds of free options.

My DH likes Microsoft Money (different versions available, starting at 19.99 for the most basic) and a lot of posters here on the Dis recommend youneedabudget(dot)com. YNAB has a 100% satisfaction guarantee and it's designed for people new to budgeting. The basic is $24.95 and the pro is $49.95. Good luck!
