Any input on the best place for breakfast at WDW? And I'm asking from a quality of food/atmosphere perspective, not a character perspective. It's fine if there are characters there, but that's not my main focus.

No characters but we LOVE Fresh at the Dolphin. The best breakfast hands down.

I agree that Fresh is a good choice. I'd also suggest Kona at the Poly for everyones favorite breakfast treat TONGA TOAST!! Another "different" choice would be Boma. Check out the menus on allears.net and have fun.

If you're interested in also seeing characters... we always enjoy the Crystal Palace in MK. It features Winnie the Pooh, Eeyore, Tigger and Piglet. My DH loves the atmosphere (very airy, surrounded by windows) and I love the omelette bar where the chef makes your omelette to order.

Our favorite used to be Whispering Canyon Cafe at the Wilderness Lodge. But...our new favorite is the Kona Cafe at the Polynesian (the Tonga Toast is the BEST!) :earsboy:

My top choices would be...

Character buffet...Chef Mickeys
Non character Buffet- Boma
Sit down-Kona Cafe.

IMO, all wonderful choices.

Wow, there's a theme here...
Kona Cafe's Tonga Toast, followed closely by Boma.

We just got back the end of September and I would have to say the 1900 Park Fare breakfast at the Grand Floridian. Just to go in the Grand Floridian and eat there was nice. The breakfast was really good...made to order omelets, really good fresh fruit, strawberry soup and all the regular breakfast foods you could imagine. It is also a character breakfast which we really didn't care about but it is still fun to have pictures with the characters even if you don't have any children with you. We also did the breakfast buffet at Boma in the Animal Kingdom Lodge. It was really different in there and glad I got to try it but I wouldn't say it was the best buffet. It was pretty standard breakfast and they had a couple of African dishes which I tried but didn't care for any of them. We did the character breakfast at the Polynesian a few years ago and I really liked that too.

Character- 1900 Park Fare
Non character- Boma

I'll be a bit of a dissenter here, I didn't particularly enjoy Kona. I love french toast and Kona coffee, and yet the Kona Cafe didn't cut it for me.

We had breakfast this Sunday at Concourse Steakhouse and enjoyed it quite a bit. The french toast was VERY tasty, the oatmeal received rave reviews from the little one, and the service was super friendly and efficient. Great experience, we'll be returning.

I also give several forks up to Whispering Canyon Cafe. The food isn't gourmet, in fact it's pretty much buffet fare, but the price seems reasonable, the baked goods are yummy, and the atmosphere can't be beat.

Good breakfast can be a bit hard to find...but the list you're gathering here are pretty good bets. Also, even some of the fast-food counter breakfasts in the resort can be good. The breakfast flatbread at Saratoga is made to order, tasty, and satisfying. At some of the moderates, they move enough food product that you may effectively get a made-to-order item.

Happy breakfast hunting.

We love having breakfast at Spoodles. Boma and Kona are very good choices, too. For a character meal, Cape May is our favorite.

Well, we've done the Boma dinner about three times now and we really enjoy it. I had been considering doing the Boma breakfast instead for this trip, but I read somewhere else that the Boma breakfast really doesn't have anything unusual. So, what are the high points for you guys for the Boma breakfast? Thanks in advance!

I don't like the different types of food, so I was glad to see there was a great variety of regular breakfast food...and it was all very good. There was a small section with all different stuff, but I didnt venture over there much. ;)
