My husband and I are going sans kids to WDW for our 15th anniversary. We are foodies and since we have no kids we were wanting to steer clear of breakfast buffets. What are your top choices for sit down breakfast, not buffet-style?

I loved the breakfast at Trattoria al Forno. Very different flavors but really great food. The breakfast buffet at The Wave is great too, and I know you can order off the menu as well if you don't want the buffet.

How about going to Narcoossee's or the California Grill for brunch. I have not tried them myself since I'm not really a big breakfast eater and usually eat light, but I've heard from many that they are really good.

Even though it is a buffet we love Boma! Captain's Grill at YC you can order off of the menu but there is a buffet. We also enjoy WCC at WL.

Although you stated no buffets, Boma is very good and has unique offerings. We also enjoy The Wave (both a la carte and small buffet options), Kona Cafe, Grand Floridian Cafe and Olivia's.

Boma and Akershus are our favorite breakfasts at WDW. Boma is buffet and Akershus is AYCTE, but they are both very good. I can't come up with a traditional service that we think is better.

Depends on what resort you are staying at? Grand Floridian Cafe serves a very nice sit down breakfast that is not a buffet. It is a very pretty light filled restaurant. But if you are staying at a resort far from The Grand Floridian I would recommend something else, perhaps.

My fav. breakfast on property is Kona Cafe at the Polynesian hands down. First off, the amazing Kona Coffee served in a fresh press pot for two, score! Everything on the menu is delicious. (We've tried everything). My favourite is the Tonga Toast if you like sweet breakfasts (tip: share it , it is huge). My husband's favourite dishes are the Macadamia pineapple pancakes (not overly sweet) and the fruit plate: a mountain of fresh fruit served in a pineapple with a side of banana-nut bread. If you like salty then try the samoan: basically eggs Benedict but with pulled pork hash instead of ham. My parents, who were with us last time, loved the big kahuna plate (huge and plentiful).

Hope that helps.

I am not a big breakfast fan usually so the nibblings at the Club Level in the Deluxe Resorts are great for me.

When I do like breakfast, at the risk of my foodie credentials I like First Watch, Hash House A-go-go, Perkins and Cracker Barrel.

Nothing at Disney moves me to tears for breakfast.

:wizard: We have always love the breakfast at Kona. The macadamia/pineapple pancakes are amazing. We also love the press pot coffee there. A few weeks ago we tried the Grand Floridian Cafe and were pleasantly surprised and really loved the breakfast there. I had the French toast and my daughter had waffles with the seasonal toppings. Both of us loved what we had. And they also serve a press pot coffee. Boma has an amazing breakfast, but is a buffet.
Not a TS restaurant, but Wolfgang Puck Express in Disney Springs also has a great breakfast....the cornflake crusted French toast is out of this world!!!

We haven't tried many breakfast places, but have done Kona Cafe several times including last Friday and we have always had great experiences. If you're in the mood for something sweet, the Tonga Toast is famous, and the pineapple macadamia nut pancakes are insane! For savory, the Samoan maybe be the best breakfast I have ever tasted.

I've eaten at everyone of those places! Hash house in Vegas was awesome!
