A group of us will be going to WDW in late September, we are on the dining plan and are looking for a nice place to eat breakfast one morning. We are not looking for a character meal.

What is your favorite breakfast place in WDW, and why???

Thanks!!!

I have heard Boma at the AKL is great for breakfast..We will be trying it in late Aug..Its is on the DDP..I think it will be nice to enjoy a big breakfast explore the AKL and then head over to AK..

Kona Cafe at the Polynesian is my favorite non-character breakfast (which are far and few between in WDW!). The food is excellent, the atmosphere is pretty and quiet, and it's a very relaxing way to start the day. And not to mention the Tonga Toast!

You're probably going to have to do a resort breakfast if you don't want characters as all of the TS places for breakfast in the parks are character (that I can think of). If you wanted breakfast in the parks, MK has a great bakery on Main St. and tons of quiet, secluded, and shaded tables behind The Plaza.

Cindarella's Royal Table and the character breakfast with Pooh are our favorite places to have a big Disney breakfast.

We are light eaters in the morning, so have not had many sit down b'fast experiences at WDW. We tried Spoodles on the Boardwalk for a late b'fast on our last trip the day we were leaving & then went to WS in Epcot before we said farewell; it was very good. I've heard good things about GF cafe for breakfast & mixed reviews about Fresh in the Dolphin (my suggestion would be to order from the menu vs the buffet - DH & I don't care for buffets).

I don't care for Pooh & the Gang, but I LOOOOVE  their breakfast! We went in May and it was great!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

My favorites are:

Maya Grill Buffet breakfast - Coronado Springs

Yacht Club Galley Buffet breakfast - Yacht Club

Spoodles - The Boardwalk

I will second the vote for Kona Cafe at the Poly. Tonga toast is this wonderfully sweet banana/cinnamon/french toast thing. It's almost too sweet for me so I like to share with hubby who gets bacon/eggs/etc. He swears its the best coffee there in the morning too (and we usually end up buying quite a bit to take back home). The atmosphere is relaxed and has beautiful bamboo ceiling fans.

Another place that I'm not sure if it's "nice' but it sure is "fun" is Whispering Canyon Cafe in the Wilderness Lodge. Worth a trip just to see this beautiful, grand, resort. Large portions of food served with a good amount of sass and fun.

I also love the atmosphere at Olivia's Cafe at Old Key West resort. Another get away from it all kind of place. The theme is sort of "what washed up on shore" and decorates the place. It's not tacky though, maybe more whimsical. Technically I had breakfast here when it was a character meal (which it no longer is) and thought it was fantastic. I've also enjoyed several dinners here so I can say they have great food.

Whispering Canyon is fun and good, Kona is great, Boma is dh's favorite for breakfast (and dinner, for that matter), Spoodles has a shorter menu but offers some different items, etc. Aside from Chef Mickey's on Christmas Day, I have always had great breakfasts at WDW.

We love Spoodles for breakfast. I just love The Italian. We have eaten at the GF cafe it was also very good. :stir:

Buffets--Boma, Fresh, and Maya Grill
Table Service-Kona, Boatwrights, Sand Trap, Spoodles, Olivias.

Kona Cafe for the coffee and the Tonga Toast. :thumbsup2 The GF Cafe for the quiet atmosphere. Did I mention the coffee at the Kona Cafe? It's the only decent coffee in all of WDW.

Great coffee :thumbsup2 , but did you ever try the Kenyan AA press pot at Boma and/or Jiko? I love it too. Every time I go down I pick up some at the marketplace at AKL to make in my room in the morning.

Donalds Restaurantasaurus has been our favorite character breakfast. Other than Crystal Palace (which we save for lunch or dinner because the food is so good) this has one of the best selections :donald: .

Ok, this is easy and honestly, when I went, I wasn't expecting such a fabulous breakfast. Concourse steakhouse is AWESOME! It wasn't crowded: I think everyone was at chef mickey's. Low crowds made for great individualized service. I got a sticky mickey-which you have to get if you go- great! It will fill you up. My husband and I shared it. Then, I got steak and eggs!! Now, we all know the steaks there are great and boy, was it good. We will definitely go there next time and I highly recommend it to anyone. There weren't a lot of kids there, so it may be more suited for couples/adults.
