What are some of the quick, grab and go breakfasts you have with high protein. Non-refrigerated and bonus if it is healthy....not a lot of sugar, no added junk, kid friendly. Seems like a tall order!

They have some sugar because they are sweetened with dates but I love RX Bars. Only a few ingredients and so good. Peanut butter and blueberry are 2 of my faves. They don't have big chunks of nuts if your kids aren't nut fans.

I also like Epic bars which are all protein and no sugar. I don't really like beef jerky but I like these.

Thanks! I will check into both. I've tried several organic protein bars and I'm just not a fan of some of them. Forgot to mention my hubby has a nut allergy. I will look into the jerky for him! Thanks again!

Quest Bars are definitely my go to, and they've got tons of kid friendly flavors (cookies and cream, oatmeal chocolate chip, s'mores, blueberry muffin, etc.)

I have tried Quest bars...the one I tried I did not really enjoy. I will branch out and try some of the others! The problems with other bars is that there is so much added junk that it just makes your tummy rotten. I love the ingredients in Quest ones. Thanks for your input!!

I love RX Bars

THIS^^. RX Bars are the best! I love the Chocolate Sea Salt variety. Limited ingredients (Egg whites, almonds, cashews, dates). 12 g of protein. No gluten or dairy. They also make bars for kids with 7 g of protein.

I love the Health Warrior Chia Bars.

Or, bring some whey protein powder and mix it into a thing of milk/almond milk/water.

Natural peanut butter on some Joseph's flax bread, too.

We bring peanut butter and crackers, but if your DH has a nut allergy, maybe you could consider sun butter or one of the other alternatives to peanut butter. I also usually pack some jerky (though I'm the only one who will eat it).

Another vote for jerky! We like Clif bars. Protei/ breakfast drinks in individual bottles could be an option, just put in ice bucket or pour over ice before serving. Or drink warm, but I think that would taste bad.

I often have a Premier Protein shake. I don't know how organic the ingredients are, but it is low sugar and high protein. I think my kids would drink them. You can find other brands of those I am sure.

Cliff bars, Cliff kid Z bars

We have been trying different things in the mornings while we drive. We tried Lenny & Larry's Fresh Baked Cookie. Those are pretty high in protein and relatively low in sugar. Kids get a "cookie" for breakfast on vacation. 2 out of 3 of my kids liked that.

We've also tried the organic breakfast biscuits paired with milk (you can get shelf stable milk). Not low carb, high protein, but pretty balanced and straightforward ingredients with some fat, protein, carbs

they are protein pucks which is like a big cookie i like the peanut butter chocolate one, quest bars are good but i had one and read the back of it it was a sweet one like some cookie they can cause problems if you eat it all in one siting like to munch sugar and you could be in the bathroom on the toilet.

Gogo Squeeze makes shelf stable yogurt pouches now! We just found them at Target - kids loved them, ingredients list was surprisingly short. OK protein, but great for on-the-go

For in-the-room breakfast I often take Chia seeds with me and make Chia Pudding for breakfast: 3 to 4 tablespoons of seeds with Cinnamon (pre-measured and packed in to individual baggies) + 3/4 cup of "milk"... I pack a container of rice milk in my suitcase. It takes 15 minutes or so for the seeds to soak and I usually get bananas from the grab-and-go section of the food court to slice and add in.
