DH and I are planning a trip for end of Nov. early Dec. we currently have ressies at Chef Mickeys for breakfast one morning. We are staying at BLT.

After reading another thread, I am kind of reconsidering our options. It is just me and DH - no kiddies. So, character vs. non-character is not a priority. We just want a nice yummy sit down breakfast. We have done Kona and Chef Mickeys - so we would like to try something new. Preferably a park restaurant or a restaurant on the monorail loop or the boardwalk.

Any suggestions??

I have heard that Kouzzinna is a very good sit down breakfast.

I did really like it when it for breakfast when it was Spoodles.

Also - we have been to CRT.....like we could get ressies there this late anyways.......:rotfl:

Our favorite breakfast is Crystal Palace. We go every trip and love the food, atmosphere, and service. It is our first day in the parks tradition.

Currently, my favorite is Kouzzina, though I suspect that the Grand Floridian Café may change my mind when I try it in November.

Okay - so I am not a huge Pooh fan - GASP!

So - would Crystal Palace be worth trying or is it just another ho hum buffet? Or is it only worth it if you like Pooh? I have never been so I am not sure what to expect....

Crystal Palace is my favorite in park b-fast, however my all time favorite breakfast at disney is Boma's. I know it's kinda out of the way from everything, but it is TOTALLY worth the traveling.

Is the GF Cafe the one that looks like a tea room right off the lobby?

Even though this isn't a monorail resort or boardwalk I just had to mention that hands down our favorite breakfast ever (well, at least in me and DH's eyes) was the breakfast buffet at Boma in the Animal Kingdom Lodge. We LOVED all the food, and it was so much fun to try something new...yet still had lots of great familiar breakfast items too! If you haven't been to AKL, it is a great resort to take in, and tour around while you are there for breakfast. The atmosphere is outstanding and the service was top notch. There is an open kitchen, and bakery...which is fascinating to watch. You can have an omelette made to order...yum yum, and they have this great fruit juice that I am still craving to this day. (we just went last week)

If you are worried about transportation from your lodge to theirs we ended up taking a taxi for $12 from POFQ...and we only had to do that because our reservation was so early. If you had a reservation after 9am you could hop a bus over to Animal Kingdom Park and then get on a bus going back to the lodge..it's just around the corner.

Good luck! Breakfast is our favorite meal to eat out!

Crystal Palace is our favorite breakfast - the buffet is nice and features my favorite WDW food item: puffed french toast :worship: Also, we love the atmosphere - very bright and open. We like to schedule an 8:05 am adr on a non-emh day - it's the 1st available breakfast ressie and we're done in time for rope drop @ 9:00 :thumbsup2

If you want a non-character breakfast then I would suggest Boma @ AKL - it is excellent!

Look no further than the Grand Floridian Cafe. It's fantastic.

Is the GF Cafe the one that looks like a tea room right off the lobby?

If you mean the back of the main lobby - no, that is the actual Tea Room.

The GFC is down the back hallway to the left (if you came in the main entrance by the monorail) and looks out over the pool/courtyard area, but is lined in large windows all the way down. The sun comes in during the a.m. and you can see the flowers, fountain, pool, etc. Great setting.

The Maple Vanilla French Toast is my favorite French toast in the world, and I love me some FT. :thumbsup2

Our top three in ranking order

Boma - the most incredible breakfast ever

Kona - love the food but LOVE the coffee!

Chef Mickeys - excellent food and if you luck out and get a window seat the view of Bay Lake is gorgeous

Its hard to have a good breakfast without characters. My favorite is probably Crystal Palace. And if you get an early enough ADR, you're in before other guests. My second favorite would be 1900 Park Fare at the GF. The strawberry soup was awesome!!!!! It had a great selection, large seating area and filled me up. A close third is Donald's Breakfast, but that's over in AK...

Boma is my absolute hands down favorite breakfast, but the lobster eggs benedict at GF Cafe is to die for also.

The Wave at CR has topped our list of favorite breakfasts now. Everything is made from scratch. My dd is in love with their biscuits. :), they are perfect and she's picky! We were told they make them from scratch and I definitely believe that!

Our favorite buffet is definitely GF's 1900 Pk Fare not even because of the characters. They have the nicest assortment when it comes to a buffet. I even have a review on my website, check it out at the link below.

IMHO, definitely tops CM's or O'Hana's breakfast as far as variety and freshness. Just my opinion....;)

It's worth a trip over to AKL for breakfast at Boma. Trust me on this one; it is outstanding!

For us (two adults) it's Boma, no question. A wonderful variety of foods, some traditional, some a little different and interesting. Visiting AKL is always a pleasure. We'll be going to Boma for a breakfast during our January trip and staying at Jambo House for our March trip. That's another Boma ADR waiting to be made. The bus transfer from AK to AKL is quick and easy.
