I'm sure someone has asked this question before but as I am rapidly approaching our ADR reservation window (this Monday) where is the best place to eat breakfast/brunch at WDW?

I am open to suggestions...whether it be at hotel or in park! Also, it's our first time visiting WDW!

I've heard good things about The Wave at the Contemporary Hotel. My DH and I are trying Brunch at the Top on our next visit. It's a very swanky (expensive) brunch at California Grill in the Contemporary Hotel. They only have Brunch at the Top on Sundays. I once saw an amazing thread detailing someone's entire experience here on the Dis Boards. Maybe search up "Brunch at the Top," and I'm sure you'll find it, too.

I am a big fan of O'Hana, Chef Mickey's and 1900 Park Fare but these all book up fast.

Are you looking for a sit-down breakfast where you order off a menu? A buffet? A character breakfast? There are many different kinds of "breakfast/brunch" options at Disney.

+1 for Crystal Palace!

Although I'm somewhat hijacking this thread, is there are buffet breakfast in one of the parks that anyone would recommend that doesn't have characters? I love the crystal palace breakfast but I'm taking a solo trip in March 2018 and don't want to do character dining, but would love to have a buffet breakfast on one day.

My family has always enjoyed breakfast at Crystal Palace in the MK, although my DS is now 10 it is his must do even though he has outgrown the characters. For resort locations, we are also fans of 'Ohanas, The Wave and Boma.

Love Kona Cafe for breakfast!! It has become one of our must do's every trip.

It looks good there! Also I'm thinking reasonably convenient to get to with the monorail - have you had any experience with doing this? I'll be staying at pop century so was thinking I could bus to MK then monorail to Polynesian.

Yes, we bus to Magic Kingdom and then hop on the monorail to the Poly. :)

Boma is my favorite, followed by Captain's Grille. I have only had breakfast at The Wave once, but enjoyed it. I used to like Kona Cafe also, but I haven't been there for a few years. Non existent of these are character meals, so it usually isn't hard to get ADRs.

Cape May Cafe has an awesome breakfast buffet. I don't need the characters but some love them. We would go every trip if we didn't have to pay extra for the characters.

I vote for the Wave---sit down opportunity in quiet setting, great menu, delicious buffet Can't beat the cheese grits and sweet potato pancackes on the buffet!

My favorite is Kona Cafe at the Polynesian. The press pot coffe is delicious! I enjoy the blueberry pancakes, however my kids enjoy the tonga toast.:cool1:

Character: Crystal Palace and 1900 Park Fare
Non-Character: Kona Cafe and Grand Floridian Cafe

I am not a big breakfast person but I do enjoy brunch. Hands down the best brunch I ever had was the California Grill- Brunch at the Top. It is quite expensive but IMO totally worth it. You probably won't need to eat all day after that. There is so much food.
We have also had the brunch at Narcoossees. It was also very good, but CG had a lot more choices.
They do however only do these brunches on Sundays.
