Best BCV Studio room to stay in?

We will be staying at BCV August '08. Last time we were there we stayed on the concierge level. We will not be doing that this trip.

We would like to be on the first floor, near Storm-along-bay. We made this request when we made reservations.

Does anybody have any suggestions for a specific room (studio) or area that we may be able to ask for when we check in (or in advance with member services)?

BCV doesn't have concierge, and isn't near Stormalong Bay. The villas are all in the other building - off to the side.

In order to get to SAB, all guests from the BCV have to go out the main door, by the Ariel Statue. Since you say you want the first floor, just ask to be close to the main lobby/main entrance. On above floors, a villa close to the elevators would be best. One time I was in a woods view villa that was reached by taking a sharp left when you got off the elevators. Close to the elevators, but not much foot traffic.

I would definitely not bother making a request for a certain room either. I would make "first floor" your only request and leave it at that, the fewer requests you have the better your chances of getting the one most important to you. As everyone else has said there are no rooms close to SAB, they all involve a trek through the BC lobby or around the outside of the BC building on the Epcot end.

Chances are you will have a preassigned room upon your arrival anyway, just ask for first floor and hope for the best.

I agree with the other posters. No point in requesting a room by number. What if someone already has that room from a vacation that started days earlier? They wouldn't know where to put you. Just ask for 1st floor and hope for the best. Frankly, they are all good.

I have already requested first floor, so I will leave it at that.

From what I can gather, if I want to improve upon that, I should ask to be near the main lobby when I arrive.

We paid cash our last trip, in fact, we were originally slated to stay at the AKL, but because of the construction, we were relocated to BC. And when we got to BC, they upgraded us to concierge. We arrived last year as cash customers and left that trip DVC members.

I am still new to the "DVC process", but so far my experiences have all been postive. This board and everyone who has replied to my posts and queries has been a terrific and helpful resource. Thank you

The Beach Club Villas are in a separate building from the Beach Club, so it's not really possible to be close to the lobby of the Beach Club.

So, is the first floor a good place stay?

What area, floor, section, etc... can someone recommend.
