I don't agree. I think the nice thing about the dining plan is that you can try restaurants and dishes that you'd not ordinarily pay for. Like - I used all my extra counter service credits for takeout at Coronado Springs instead of Earl of Sandwich. Why? Because Earl is somewhere I go regularly, because it's so reasonably priced. Coronado is more of a treat, I brought home some ribeyes for my husband, and chicken fajitas and chicken bourbon for me. I love the fast food at the Tangerine Cafe, but only eat there very occasionally due to the price. So the dining plan would be good for that. I wouldn't use the dining plan for a character breakfast, I'd use it for a nice lunch or dinner. That doesn't mean I order the most expensive item on the menu, but at least I feel I'm getting value for the dollar (for me, $38 to eat on property in a day is a lot of money, so I'd want to feel like it's something special).
