So, we know it's a sin to wear a fanny pack. But what is the best type of bag to bring to the park? Just something to carry a wallet and cameras, but not as big as a purse?

I converted to cargo shorts several years ago. Bypassing the bag check saves time and I never have to wonder how to carry a bag on attractions.
To do it everything I take is needed and small. The digital camera fits in my shirt pocket or a very small padded pouch that fits in my cargo pockets. An EMH early person here and sometimes in December the mornings ar chilly after several years searching I found the lightest jacket available and made a compression stuff sack for it to fit in the big pockets. Same for my (non Disney) poncho when needed.
I had tried a number of bags but was never happy with the results compared to the current setup I use now. The way to trim the stuff is after every trip lay out everything you pack io the parks and anything not used is dropped from the next trip list.

I love my baggallini messenger bag! It's comfortable to wear and even has a water bottle holder on the side.

We go w/kids, so it's still a backpack for us. We don't have any issues with it.

Those do look great. I think I may order the sling bag as well as a Teenee. Thanks! :thumbsup2

I'm a rather plus size gal, is there a lot of leeway in adjusting the strap to make it comfortable to wear?

Debbie, does that go across your chest or on the shoulder like a purse?

I purchased a Bagellini Urban Backpack and have been testing is for WDW worthiness. It has been loaded to the gills with 3 water bottles, 4 cheapo ponchos, a small camera, gum, keys & chewy bars. When I put it on, I can hardly tell it's there. :thumbsup2 My 13 yo DD will even wear it! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 Unfortunately, the straps aren't padded but we really didn't notice as it fit so well. Still undecided if it will be THE bag for the parks...

Either or. The strap is adjustable, and fully extended it's over 60 inches. Plenty long to wear cross body. You could also shorten it up, and wear it like a purse. I'm 5'9", and could stand to lose a few pounds, and fully extended the strap is almost TOO long for me.

THANKS!!! I will look through the many kinds and see if there is one that fits my needs. :)

I think I would like a backpack as opposed to a messenger bag. I don't think I'd like the strap over my chest. :wave2:

I have a small purse which is just big enough to hold my camera, money, tissues, all the essentials. It has a long strap that I can wear slung over my shoulder messenger style without the bulk.

Bought the Bagalini wallet on a string a few weeks ago as a possibility for Disney. I was able to load it with both my glasses, cell-phone, license, et al and slide it on a belt last weekend. I then wore the said belt for two hours of Thanksgiving Day ballon safety training. (For all of you that hate Macy's for taking over feel more than free to turn of NBC for the annual commercial, it's not like I'm getting off the rest of the week!) Needless to say I know the system will work perfectly for Disney.

I carry a plain ole nylon backpack just like in college (nearly 20 years ago). In fact I think it's the same one. Within 30 minutes inside the park DH takes it from me and carries it the rest of the day.
(The key is girls to go with something he won't mind carrying.)

I either carry my L.L. Bean small Messenger style bag, or this little sack-style backpack I got from Target years ago. We usually don't bring much to the parks, so it is rather light, carrying just the essentials. We 8usually carry wallets (I downsize mine fro WDW - don't need the store acrds, just ID, a debit card, a credit card, Passes, and cash), digital camera, sunblock, and a cell phone. Plus a small bag with Advil, etc.
