Best bag to bring to the parks?

Do you think it's worth it to bring my DSLR camera even if it could fit in my bag, or would it just be too heavy and take up too much space? agh I can't decide I want nice pictures but I don't want it to get in the way! :confused3

I also agree with the Baggalinni crossbody. I have 2 - one is like a long square/rectangle with 3 zipper compartments. I've used that for 2 Disney trips - it was great! then this summer I bought another Baggallinni crossbody that was more square, purse type with 3 or 4 zipper compartments. Love them because they're great colors, waterproof and lightweight. I'm from NJ and our TJ Maxx stores have great prices on them. They are usually in either the dept with purses or most likely the travel section, near the luggage.

I use a backpack because I cannot stand having anything across my chest, it's just not comfortable and it looks awful since I have a bigger chest. I have a leather-like Arizona backpack that is not too big. Holds just what I need for the day and a little room if I buy a t shirt or something little as a souvenir.

I use a cross body bag. I can fit a lot in it and not be weighed down. Last year, we also carried a back pack. Which, KILLED my back. But, in August, you need ponchos and water and sunblock in addition to the "usual" things. What can you do? I can't wait to do it all again next next August!

I have been eyeing the donner bag too. I like the piazza and the kayla but I wish ebags had something inbtwn these 2 sizes. The piazza doesnt look big enough for a change of clothing and shoes for my son and all the other stuff we'd need but the kayla looks larger than my diaper bag.

People say the donner bag is a PIA to open b/c of the velcro. Is it really that obnoxious?

Mine is about eight years old and they have redesigned it slightly since then, so I'm probably not a good judge.

I usually bring just a sackpack... it's a cheap nylon bag with string closures that can be carried like a backpack.

They're good for throwing in a travel tube of sunscreen, a mini phone charger, maybe one bottled water and a light long sleeved shirt if it will cool off later... that's about it. If I put more in, the strings can start digging into your shoulders over time. The best part is if the bag is empty, you can stuff it in your pocket and walk through bag check.

Plus they are waterproof and can slip into a safety net on most attractions.

A friend carries a small water hydrating pack, but he removes the water bladder inside and uses it for storage. It makes for a very small but useful backpack too.
