yeah-- it poured here-- we got almost an inch in like 20 minutes Then we got another shower about 10:00 pm

Yesterday we got a freaky storm too. It poured and the wind was out of control for 20 minutes. The temp dropped 15* and then 20 minutes later it was sunny and 90* again.

Our temp dropped from 102 to 78 in 20 minutes--guess that's why it was so windy huh?

I am SO ready for the summer heat to be over. I think we had 2 full weeks that hit over 100*. I love the heat and even that was a bit too much!

It's cloudy but warm today. Anything is better than that hot sun beating down on you.

Once the temp went over 95, I stopped watching the weather--I hate the heat! I know we have been over 100 a lot more than usual this year! So very glad for air conditioning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's nice being able to have this thread move slowly for once. I am speaking softly so the natives don't awaken!

Our AC has been on non stop for weeks. My bill jumped $100 in a month.

The birds are the only critters that seem to want the ones at my parent's house, but the more we go out and mess with the tree or bush or whatever it is , the less they come out--I am also thinking of hanging aluminum pie plates from some of the branches

That's a good idea, maybe I'd actually get enough figs just once to cook and see how they taste!

I will not dignify that slander with a comment--we all know the truth about the computer situation here-- and the point is that I can't DIS at the same time as DD ( which is a good portion of some days and or nights). Of course if we get a router, our children will pretty much, in effect, be orphans.

i'm addicted to the weather channel so i couldn't help but know what was going on every second of every day it's something i picked up from my dad's side of the family. there's a lot of pilots in that side of the family so I grew up with them keeping an eye on the weather just in case they wanted to go flying.
