Best and Worst Entrees????

California Grill: sushi, flatbreads, cheese plate.
Coral Reef: mahi mahi

I wouldn't recommend Planet HOllywood; we had a coupon for our visit there in June, but we chose to skip it. We just didn't feel the food is worth the price.
We love Whispering Canyon! We have DS (10) and DD (8) and the skillet meal is the way to go! You don't have to wait very long for food, which is great with kids. Plus our kids spent time playing with the Lincoln Log set which is by where you first walk up to the restaurant, and had a great time. :goodvibesOur son got a milkshake (very good); our (picky) daughter however didn't like the food...the waiter got a bowl of plain macaroni for her. That to us was bending over backwards to please us.
My husband got a 2-quart water jar to drink from...we giggle whenever we see the picture. We think the food is really good; corn on the cob, cornbread, ribs, chicken, pork, brisket...delicious. Plus the server was terrific, and the atmosphere was fun.

My take (for what is is worth):

Planet Hollywood: never been

California Grill: everything is pretty darn good. Love the sushi platter and the flat bread appetizers.

Le Cellier: the filet is outstanding. The cheese soup is also great.

50s Prime Time: solid burger, good malts.

Coral Reef: mahi mahi is good, the atmosphere is even better. My wife always enjoys the steak here (not as much as Le Cellier) but I have never tried.

T-Rex: going for the first time in November so I am no help here.

Whispering Canyon: I liked the meatloaf and my uncle loved the chicken and ribs.

I ate at T Rex last year a bit after it opened, and they had the most incredible ribs! :goodvibes I am not the hugest rib fan either, and these were yummy falling off the bone kind of ribs. Super good!!!

The only think I've ever eaten at the WCC was the family style platter for supper. It was good, although I know some people don't care for it. I think its just one of those things, depending upon your tastes. The all you can drink shakes there are very good though, and if you drink more than one, well, you won't really be eating that much anyway!

Planet Hollywood: haven't tried it

I have only eaten at 50's Prime Time and Coral Reef

50's: I had the pot roast which was very good but not as good as mine. DS had the chicken and it looked good. DH had the salmon and it didn't look good at all but he didn't complain. DD had the steak and it was awful.

Coral Reef: I had the mahi mahi and it was very good. DD had the steak and it was great. DS had the seafood pasta dish. I thought it was good. DH didn't like it. We found out that DS may be allergic to shrimp. He took one bite and lips and face started to swell so he didn't eat it. Coral Reef was my favorite meal of the trip. We also got the lobster bisque and it was very disappointing.

Here is a list of restaurants we will be eating at. We are looking for advice on the best and worst entrees you may have encountered. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!!:goodvibes

Planet Hollywood never been
California Grill never been
Le Cellier cheddar cheese soup and mushroom filet:lovestruc
50s Prime Time meatloaf was ok - looking forward to trying the fried chicken in June - MUST have the PBJ milkshake
Coral Reef creamy lobster soup, lobster salad, the steak and the mahi mahi -all excellent!
T-Rex I can't remember what I had but it was good!
Whispering Canyon Had the skillet thingy and it was very good!
HTH! :goodvibes

I would not suggest Planet Hollywood. The food is alright but.. for less money and a better value, I would go to Earl of Sandwich. The sandwiches there rock! :) If you want a sit down restaurant, a better choice is House of Blues. The food is always good there.

Planet Hollywood
Salads are OK, not a fan of anything else.

California Grill
Only eaten there twice, but did not care for the steak or the scallops, loved their sushi though. Their lobster risotto appetizer is fantasic too, as is their cheese plate.

Le Cellier
love, love their filet with mushroom risotto. I'm in the minotiry but do not care for their cheese soup. I've had it several times and it's always too salty.

50s Prime Time
Eaten there several times, but not a great fan of any of their entrees. Love their peanut butter/jelly shakes though. My mom likes their chicken pot pie. If I had to choose I'd go with their fried chicken.

Coral Reef
love their steak and mahi mahi, not a fan of their blackened catfish

T-Rex
Haven't eaten here.

Whispering Canyon
not a fan of anything here. In fact, twice we've ordered the skillet and all gotten sick both times. Scared to try again. Also did not like the trout dish that's on their lunch menu.

Planet Hollywood: Have never eaten here.

California Grill: I got the sushi for an appetizer, and my wife got a flatbread. I had the filet for my entree, and my wife got the pork chop. Everything was fantastic. We're going back here on our next visit.

Le Cellier: Going here for the first time on our next visit.

50s Prime Time: My wife and I got the pot roast. It was very good, but the meat was a bit too stringy. My son got the fried chicken. It was very good. I also got a PB&J milkshake. It was a bit overrated, IMHO. I had a hard time getting used to the taste.

Coral Reef: Have never eaten here.

T-Rex: Going here for the first time on our next visit.

Whispering Canyon: Have never eaten here. (We have eaten at Artist Point twice, though.) Wanted to go to WC on our next visit, but it lost out to Crystal Palace (so we didn't have to leave MK).

CG: Had the pork tenderloin and polenta and it was great!
LC: Had the filet and risotto and it was wonderful as well!
50s PT: Have had the meatloaf as well as the pot roast-and both were great!
CR: Had 2 entrees that I thought were subpar: the sirloin and the mushroom lasagna--both were boring. If you go, I'd just get the Land and Sea appy and call it a night--Oh wait, get 2 of them! :lmao:
