Best alcohol drinks.

All of the resort restraunts have great drinks. The theme may be differnet but they all taste good to me.

Mmm, mmm some sound so good. So many to choose from!!
Thanks for all the suggestions. Keep them coming.
Is there a specific bar to visit where you can see the fireworks or do you have to have dinner adrs?

Oh! DH and I had a nice drink in the little lounge area at The Wave at CR. It isn't big but it is very modern and Vegas-ish. No view or anything but we had the whole place to ourselves. I'm not sure if you had to eat there...I doubt it. And their drinks seemed specific to that restaurant. I remember they had a fruity mojito and a lychee martini.

Must put that on our to-do list next month!

:wizard: We love the Fiesta Margaritas at the stand in Mexico. They're really good!! We also love the Pina Colava (a Pina Colada with raspberry sauce) they serve at the pool at POR...very refreshing!

I will agree with the Lapu Lapu at the Tambu lounge at the Poly.....with that floater of dark rum on the top...gets me everytime..or two:rotfl:

My two favorite drinks are at DTD. The cotton candy martini at T-Rex was good and the margarita at the margarita stand at DTD was great. I thought it was much better than the ones they served at the Mexico Pavilion.

Ok, I have heard about the Lapu Lapu drink, what is in it?

And is there anywhere that has a plain pina colada?

LAPU LAPU ---Tambu Lounge

1 ounce Myer's Rum
1/2 ounce Bacardi 151
Scorpion Mix (consists of half-and-half sour mix and orange juice)
Enough ice to chill it, crushed so it fits in the pineapple
Garnish: Cherry
Served in: Hollowed fresh pineapple, the pineapple stem is the lid with a small wedge removed so a straw can be inserted. Cut the leaves off the stem and reattach to the "lid" using a shortened toothpick. Make a slice off the bottom of the pineapple so it will sit upright properly and not tip over. Yes, this means the bottom will be moist and sticky.

Any bar or lounge will be able to make you a plain pina colada.

I've had great luck chatting up the bartender and telling him/her what I like and don;t like and letting them make me something of their choosing. Once in Victoria Falls my friend ordered a mudslide and the bartender begged her to break out of the box and let him make her something. He said "if you like mudslides you'll love this drink...if you don't I'll make you a mudslide, no charge."

There are plenty of times when I want what I want, but a good "mixologist" is a beautiful thing. :worship:

Either the Grey Goose or the Grand Marnier slush are great

But the drink I loved was the Magical Star Cocktail which is part of the standardized drink menu. It's very tasty and has a light up ice cube that changes colour.

Love seeing pictures of the drinks!!! :cheer2:

That is good info to know to talk with the bartender, I like chocolate things........maybe I shall break out of the box as well. ;)

*OMG* my favorite alcoholic drink has to be the "Glow-Tini" aka "BlueTini".. from the *Year of a Million Dreams*!

I'm at work so I dont have a personal photo heres one from pics off a Disney site--its obviously the Blue one in that pic in the martini glass. It comes with a blue glow-cube.. I must have had.. 3 from my last trip in 2008! :rotfl: SO SO GOOD!

PS-anyone there recently in July or August that can tell me if they had one or if you can still order them? because they were really for the year of a million dreams.. i'm sure they could still make it, if you asked, its simple ingridients..

Ahh...there are so many!!

  • Lapu Lapu - basically rum with pineapple and orange juice served in a pineapple [Polynesian - Tambu Lounge]
  • Frozen Margarita - comes in lime, strawberry, mango and green apple flavors. Can be rimmed with sugar or salt. [Mexico Pavilion - Epcot]
  • Pomegranate Kir - Champagne with PAMA liquer [France pavilion - Epcot]
  • Grey Goose Lemon Slushie/Grand Marnier Orange Slushie - [France Pavilion - Epcot]
  • Imperial Sampler - four beers (stella, harp, boddington's and guiness I believe...) [Rose & Crown Pub - UK Pavilion - Epcot]
  • Mt Fuji - tequila, pineapple juice, spite and blue curacao [Tokyo Dining - Japan pavilion - Epcot]
  • Torontopolitan - vodka, cranberry juice, lime juice and chambord [Le Cellier - Canada Pavilion - Epcot]
  • Ice wine - a Canadian specialty. Grapes are left on the wine till the first frost or until they freeze. They are picked and made into wine. The juice from the grapes concentrates into a syrup of sorts. It in insanely good, and insanely sweet. A dessert wine to be sipped. [Le Cellier - Canada Pavilion - Epcot]
  • Electric Lemonade - sprite, sweet & sour mix, vodka and blue curacao [50's Primetime Cafe - Disney's Hollywood Studios]
  • Conundrum - a complex white wine made of a blend of varietals. Slightly sweet, crisp and rich for a white. [California Grill - Contemporary Resort]
  • Longboard Lager - a beer from Hawaii [Kona Cafe - Polynesian]
  • Pina Colava - a blend of frozen pina colada and raspberry puree [Tambu Lounge - Polynesian]
  • Glow-tini - vodka, blue curacao, peach schnapps, sweet & sour and pineapple juice [All Resort Bars]

Enjoy! :thumbsup2

YUM - but I notice there is a lot from France! :rotfl2:

gotta remember English Rose in England over the Welsh Dragon! :thumbsup2

I told the bartender at BW that I wanted something with Kahlua, and I ended up with a Toasted Almond. It's been my favorite drink ever since. It's not unique to Disney, but I'd never heard of one before.

I'm going to have to try the pomegranate kir!
