We are considering selling one of our DVC properties. Does anyone who has done a resale have a recommendation on Agents? I know the Timeshare Store advertises here and also am wondering on experiences with them.

Thanks!

I've bought 2 contracts through TTS and one through Jaki and ****. They were both great.

However, when it was time to sell, I just figured with TTS advertising on the Dis ( and the amount of daily traffic on the Dis ) my contracts would get good visability. I was very happy with them. Both contracts sold and Jaimie was excellent in keeping in touch through the process.

I'd buy or sell from them again. When the right priced contract comes along.

I don't think any of the major agents have exclusive contracts. Assuming commission rates are similar, I'd be inclined to just list with multiple agents and the first to find you a buyer wins. :)

Exactly... none of them have exclusive contracts. Any of the resale companies may have a customer looking for exactly what you have to offer, so checking with all of them is a good idea. The three I have heard great things about are TSS (dvc-resales.com), dvcbyresale.com and **********.com. Good luck!

Interesting that contracts are not exclusive. That is great advice! I will have to compare commissions too.

When I sold my BWV contracts, I called the "Big 3" and comissions were all 10%.

I didn't do it, but the negative of listing with more than one agent is, if you accept and offer from one agent, and before you pull the listing, another agent gets a full price offer, you can owe comission to the second agent.

To avoid this situation, you should pull the listing from the other agents as soon as you receive the offer from the first (but before you sign the paperwork and accept the offer).

I used the Timeshare Store for two contracts they both sold in under 24 hours. One of them sold before hitting the website.
