Ok my fellow DIS’ers, I am fine-tuning my restaurant requests, so in your past experiences what is the absolute worst time to ask for a reservation when making ADR’s? Meaning what times are the easiest/hardest to get? Any kind of suggestions would help, we are a party of 4, 2 teens, 12 & 16………

popular dining times 12:00-1:00 for lunch and 6:00-7:00 are more popular at most restaurants. For restaurants in the parks that serve breakfast an 8:00-8:30 time is popular so people can get in the parks when they are less crowded. Narcossees and California Grill are popular about two hours prior to Wishes. I'm not sure about other times.

Thanks thats what I was looking for, so from what I understand, anytime after 7PM will be somewhat easy, that works good for us as with the time change its after 5 here, that will work perfect.....THANKS.......

Ask for what you want first, and if nothing is available, just ask them what IS available. They'll give you some options. Don't assume you won't get your first choice - being straight up honest here, but I've NEVER had a problem, even the week after Christmas.

to be some restaurants, depending on when you call, where earlier or later times will be hard to get. Put your ADR requests in order.

My understanding, based on a single call last month, is that the system shows finite periods, like 30 minutes. You may want to plan your requests in 30 minute periods.

That was my plan, ask for what I want 1st, my must haves, etc.....If nothing is opened, then ask for suggestions.....Thats good to hear about not having an issue with you making your ADR's lets hope I can keep up the trend!!!

BTW, I read your sig and 100+ trips to WDW!!! OMG they should be kissing your feet everytime you walk into WDW!!! They give you a key to the gates yet......:)

:offtopic: You ate at EVERY TS restaurant!!! That is AWESOME, you need to write a BOOK!! I would buy one......May I ask what was the best dining you had in WDW, sorry for off topic, but your sig is very interesting!!

You mean if I ask for a 6'oclock and dont get it ask for 6:30 etc???

Between 5-7pm are the popular dinner times.

GRRRRR, guess I will start with 5PM requests!!

Lets say I do ask for a 5PM time and it is booked for that time will the CM look and see if anything is opened for that night??

Made my ADRs today. CM was very helpful -- good at finding alternate times, asked if we wanted to see Cinderella or just eat in the Castle, etc. Make your hardest/most important ADRs first -- then you can adjust your schedule on the the easier/less important ones. Ex -- we'd planned for the Castle on Tuesday, but moved it to another MK day on Thursday because we got a better time for us. Made the ADR we'd planned for Thursday on Tuesday w/ no problem. Good luck!

I made two calls for reservations. The second was for BBB which uses the same system. (For my other ADRs I was able to get times very close to what I requested.) The CM was talking her way through the system the whole time I was on the phone and mentioned that the system showed only finite periods of time. She had to enter 10:00. Then she entered 10:30 and 9:00 on her own. I followed up the 10:00 initial request with 9:30 which worked.
