Best 4 Year Old Boy Toys?

Here was our boys top toy list at that age... Any of the superhero costumes or costumes in general, action figures, legos, the marble works ramps, hot wheels, wagons, cap guns-cowboy costumes, nerf guns and water guns, geo-tracks, rockets, anything they could take outside and play with in the dirt. I would also agree on the books.

What about taking him somewhere special and spending time with him instead of toys? My kids get so much stuff at Christmas/bdays that they never get to play with it all. We give so much stuff to thrift stores throughout the year.

For my niece(9) and nephew(6), we asked if they would rather have a gift or us take them to the local water park for their birthdays. We have season tickets but they have never been. They said the water park--and while we were there (this past weekend), they both said they never wants "gifts" from us again, they always want to just pick somewhere fun to go! My bro and SIL were also excited because they got the day to themselves.

Just an idea...a trip to a zoo, taking him to the movies, a bounce house place--or passes for him to get to do something fun. I guarantee he will remember your time at "xyz" long after he remembers which toy you got him.
