Our home resort is SSR, so I will be making a reservation at the 11 month window for a 2 bedroom for next August. This is our first year as DVC members and we have only stayed in a studio at Vero and have our first trip this month to SSR, also in a studio. Wondering if we should keep the reservation at SSR or maybe try to move to another resort at the 7 month window. We will be 4 adults and 4 teenage girls. Are all 2 bedrooms basically the same size or do some resorts have roomier layouts? Thanks for your help!!

Old Key west has the largest rooms. Some people say BCV are the smallest I have stayed at both BWV and VWL and they seemed the same size to me. Also remember in some resort's the 2nd bedroom may only have 1 bed and a sleeper sofa I know OKW has 2 beds and the dedicated 2 bedrooms at VWL have 2 beds. Hope this helps.

If you're looking for roomier, you may want to try OKW or BWV instead. According to the DVC booklet, the square footage of the two-bedrooms are:

SSR - 1,075
BCV - 1,083
VWL - 1,080
BWV - 1,226
OKW - 1,395

You can check the main DVC website for details as to layout, etc.

As you can see by the above info, Old Key West is larger. But your question was...which is best?

While it's true that OKW is larger, some find having to carry a personal GPS navigation device and packing a lunch to go from the master bedroom to the kitchen a little inconvenient. And then, there's the whole wildlife thing - alligators, bats, tree frogs, deer, racoons, chupacabras, etc.

Seriously, though...all of the two bedrooms are pretty spacious, and all include full kitchens and washer/dryers. Most of the resorts have the stacked washer/dryer combos, OKW has full-sized separate washers and dryers. I don't think there is any such animal as a "bad" DVC two-bedroom.

If you want max space and a quiet, tranquil setting (except for the darn chirping birds!), OKW is your place.

But you may decide that space alone is not your only criteria. If you want to be in the middle of the Epcot/MGM/Boardwalk action, you'll find very nice 2-bedrooms at BCV and BWV. Want to be close to Downtown Disney? SSR is beautiful. Close to MK? VWL.

Your choice -- all good choices.

You ask which is roomiest, but square footage really won't gain you too much except more space in the living room at OKW.

With 4 adults and 4 girls, you need to think about what kind of beds they will be on. OKW and some BCV units have 2 queens in the 2nd bedroom. So only two people would need to sleep on a fold out.

Plus the deck is larger at OKW than anywhere is, so if you plan to spend a lot of time there......
