Awwwww......what a good Disney boy!!!!:D

Morning, Breezy! I wont be around long. I am just waiting for my grooming client to arrive.

Ok here is the update from the phone call - for those of you who were not on AIM last evening, DH has been waiting to get a live interview with a flooring manufacturer. He sent a resume in on Friday before mother's day, they called him the next day! Baisically, we want to interview you ASAP. Then nothing for 20 days. Then another phone call, we are very interested, we will call you in 2 days. Nothing, for a week. Last night, the call finally comes. The interview is set for the 27th, in Norwalk, CT. Don't know if I will go with yet, they have to hammer out the travel details. The job is basically the same one he had in GA. Training retailers, installers, and distributors about the product, how it goes down, how to prep the floor first, what type of adhesive to use, blah, blah, blah. (Can you tell we have been in the flooring business a loooooong time?) This company is a direct competitor of the one he worked for in GA, the same one that called and said if you want your old job back, it's yours, come on out, but wait, there's no money in the budget for us to hire you after all. So this is very interesting. Hopefully he will get the travel info in a couple of days. One very positive note for me, they told him that the job will be travel 4 days a week! Yippeeeeeeee, the good news is my husband is leaving me, the bad news is he's coming back! That was my mantra in GA, he traveled at least 20 days a month, I get very used to being on my own. He still thinks the position is in FL, near Ft Lauderdale, so even better for me and WDW! Details as they happen.

Good luck to you and your DH, Marsha! WDW could be a local gig for you!

Elaine, I hope it's a better day today :) ;)

Good luck for your DH with the job, Marsha.

I am on another crusade. This time about the summer homework my DS was assigned. Don't get me started. I just wrote a letter to the school. I will let it "rest" a while before I send it.

Catch you later.

Summer homework!!! They wont even have the same teachers, will they?

Yikes!!!! Although from reading a lot of the messages on thes boards, it is getting more and more common. It kkeps them in practice for the upcoming year, and of course it interferes with family plans.

Thanks for the good wishes. I know Pete really wants to be back on the east coast:( , I am secretly hoping they tell him he can work from home, as he will be traveling all the time anyway, that way I don't have to pack up all my heirlooms, have a moving sale, try to get the dogs moved (not looking forward to that), look for a new house that we can afford, etc. Ah well, he doesn't have the job, yet, but I believe he will get an offer. They want to do a face to face interview so they can see if he will fit in with the "family" atmosphere of the company. His biggest concern; his latest tattoo, if he isn't wearing a collared shirt, it shows a little on his neck! His priorities are a little mixed up. Oh, he also hates his hair, it is too long and all gray, so before the big day, he is getting it cut and dying it blonde. His almost natural color! TOo bad his mustach is mostly gray also. I am married to a very silly man, a great husband, but boy is he a little neurotic!

Marsha,
we need pictures of this tattooed, greying, housecleaning, laundry-doing catch of yours!!!!

Carol, summer homework???? I've never heard of that. Boy, would my kids be PO'd if they had to do stuff over the summer. What are the details of the things he is expected to do?

Marsha - hope your DH gets good news from his interview!

This is all I have currently, hard to see all the tats, and not greying, but 100% gray!!! And he's only 48.

He says, take my picture in fron of the oleanders, I think he wanted to look like nature boy!

Loved the story about Andrew! What a cute thing for him to say.

Marsha, keep us informed about the job. Living in Florida would be great. You'd have to have AP's! Then you could go all the time. Seriously, moving would be a pain. We may be facing that soon, as well. DH's job is ending next spring.

Elaine, hope your day is brighter today than yesterday. I had a blue day last week. I don't think all this rainy weather has helped anyone feel up.

Summer homework? Yuck. My daughter brought home a math workbook that they suggested the kids finish, but it's voluntary. She hasn't touched it yet! LOL!

The summer homework is assigned by the teachers they will have next year. DS brought home another assignment for his homors English class, 2 books and reports. I hope he doesn't have to do both of them. DD's is for her AP English class. She has 3 books to read and report on. What ever happened to reading for pleasure.

Both my kids have reading to do but they can choose the books. Elizabeth is required to read 3 books over the summer.....but her teacher has already told her that if she reads the new Harry Potter that will MORE than meet the requirement.

Luckily since we drive on most trips they get an opportunity to do their reading without taking up "play" time. I do resent that they they're not able to just relax. They already have MUCH more homework during school than I ever did in grade school.

Who has it? Please post so that the next Angel can pm you.

Let's try not to keep it more than 3 weeks, lots of Angels want to read it, and I want to get it back and start it again!

Thanks.
