I'm ready for summer too.....one more week left here!!! The kids are still outside but EB will be in soon for her shower. I'm watching the Tony awards tonight....that's one of my favorite award shows since I enjoy Broadway!!!

Hope our Pittsburgh friends aren't getting pounded too hard....lots of t-storms in their area right now.

We had tornado warnings here earlier...but didn't get the thunderstorms that were predicted for us.

Just checking in before Unrapped. I've been cleaning the bathroom and closet today. Amazing how much stuff can add up in 7 years of living in a house. I'm sending tons of stuff to Goodwill over the next few weeks before we do the new floors. No use moving stuff around that we don't want to keep. Guess that means less time to DIS for a while, but maybe my house will look great when I'm done.

Evening All!

Had to wait until the thunderstorms died down to get on the computer. The wind was pretty strong so I took down my hanging baskets.

LK's kids are back at home tonight. My kids always enjoy when they come over (especially to sleep). They tried to swim in the neighbor's pool, but they didn't have the heater hooked up yet. Only 69 degrees, but the kids were eager to at least try. Not many stayed in.

Since we have a couple of angels that love Broadway shows, why don't we try to do a Broadway weekend? I love Broadway shows, and just walking around. Has anyone gone into the wax museum yet? It's really freaky in there. The last show I saw was 42nd St. My girlfriend and I went, and you'll never believe this, but she bought the tickets on-line on SEPTEMBER 11th 2001! I have the ticket stub still. The show was for a day in October. We still went, but the atmosphere was very different.

Marsha - forgot to say that your dress was beautiful! It looks like the day was nice too.

Watching the Unwrapped show, and it is getting me very hungry!

Just finished watching unwrapped! Right at the end I got a substitute call, so I'll be working tomorrow. It'll be nice to squeeze in one more day before school gets out. I really enjoy my job & I'm gonna miss seeing the kids over the summer.
Lorraine-I think a Broadway show Angel meet is a great idea!!! I'd love to do that! I'm glad that you guys made it through the thunderstorms safely!

I taped Unwrapped......will probably watch tomorrow. I'd love to meet up with some folks in NY! I've been very fortunate to see several shows on Broadway.....but that's never enough!

I've never been to New York. I'll be jealous if you guys get to have a meet there, but maybe you'll tell me all about it and take some pictures. I'd like that. I love Broadway-style shows and dream of someday going.

I enjoyed the Unwrapped show. Then I made a quick trip to the grocery store. DH and I are going on a diet. We both need to lose weight and the his doctor said Friday that he suspects he is borderline diabetic. Time for some serious lifestyle changes. Guess I'll have to make a trip to the WISH board and join up with some other dieters. Support groups are helpful.

Our bathroom is looking pretty good. The problem with all the cabinets I have is that there's lots of room to stash stuff. It's not finished yet, but we made major progress. Each day is a step in the right direction.

Well, I watch unwrapped, and would have watched the repeat, but my eyes are itching like I've bee around cats, so no more TV for me.

I have not been to NYC in 32 years. And never have seen a B'way show. That could be fun!

Satine, mail out the box by the 21st, still a few weeks off, but better late than never, right?

Lorraine, the good auntie, watching those little angels. Our days here are almost all beautiful, today I was in the pool for 2 hours, just floating around, air temp 108, water temp 88, quite nice. I would like a heater for my pool, so in the winter I could get in. NOT! I hate to be in the water when it's only 80 outside. Actually, a hot tub would be nice. I got to go to Home Depot for a couple of storage containers, and picked up some DIS name tags, now I gotta figure out how to letter them, Dis name, Angel Name, first name, etc. Another project for retirement!

Laura, be nice to thoses kids, like they will want to do anything anyway. You know, you could teach summer school, that would be fun!
